Smiles as bright as the Ferris wheel lights! ✨🎡 Our group homes got together at the New Jersey State Fair this week to enjoy rides, games, food and fun! It was a perfect summer day and an amazing way to celebrate our community and the beautiful state we live in 🥰

Congratulations to Vice President of Finance, Deserie Morris, for completing her certification to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)! 🎉 In Deserie’s 20+ years at Capitol Care, her care, compassion, and dedication has left an invaluable mark on the lives of all of our individuals. As a board-certified RBT, Deserie will now be able to increase her impact even more with a strong clinical foundation to pair with her natural ability to support and empower our individuals in achieving their behavioral health goals. Becoming an RBT is a significant undertaking and Deserie worked tirelessly to reach this milestone, on top of the countless amazing things she does every day to improve the lives of our individuals and staff. We are so proud of Deserie and excited for this new chapter in her career! 💐

Happy National Carnival Day! 🎟️🎡 This afternoon, our day program was transformed into a playground full of fun activities, prizes, and favorite carnival snacks 🍿🥜 Our individuals played games to win tickets and earn prizes, from the classic ring toss to fishing for rubber ducks painted by staff and individuals. Everyone had a blast! 🎉

Self care isn’t selfish! 💆‍♀️💚 Our spa / self care night last week left everyone feeling relaxed, refreshed, and recharged 😌 We had healthy snacks, manicures, face masks, hair accessories, gratitude journals, and positive affirmations 🙌 This was the perfect opportunity for our individuals to come together to practice self love and develop rituals to nurture their physical and emotional wellness ✨
