Our summer community service project was to collect school supplies for one of our local schools, Springfield Elementary. Many thanks to the staff and family members at STLC for supporting this project. We were able to donate several boxes of supplies over two trips. Good luck with your new school year guys. Go BEARS🐻

Summer Sips: A weekly activity program for the month of August focused on staying hydrated. No one around here seems to really like drinking their water SO Jen added a little twist 🍹All of these fun drinks were made with fruit juice and low sugar/no sugar flavor packets. It evolved into Dips & Sips for our ALF and then Karaoke & Sips for the whole staff and residents. It was a fun and flavorful way to wrap up our summer events! Bring on the “BER” months…we’re ready !

We are heartbroken today guys 💔 No easy way to say it. she's gone. Sweet Sugar girl ended up in the emergency vet early this morning. The prognosis was terminal so she fell asleep for the last time in Jen's arms earlier today. Thank you to all who loved her as much as we do. Please flood us with Sugar photos or memories if you have them to share. She was definitely something special and had a life well loved full of adventure. 💜 🐾 🩷

It’s been a tradition for the last 12 years that the Activities crew serve up homegrown tomato sandwiches, southern style, every Wednesday in July. It’s something that the residents and staff look forward to every summer. Here’s a few snapshots of our Wednesdays in memory of our Duke’s mayonnaise loving friend, Frank ❤️

Happy Father's Day to the men in our lives! No matter if you are a Dad, have one, or just show up when someone needs you...we appreciate you!
We hosted our first Classic Car Show since COVID on Friday and the forecast made it dicey! Many thanks to The Bright Star Cruisers and Mountain Top Speed Shop for spreading the word, showing up, and talking cars with our folks just like a Dad would do!

There was NO RAIN on our parade today as we took some of our folks down to Rankin lake Park for some fishing. Many thanks to Buddy, John, Kandy and Don for volunteering their time, equipment and touching the worms 🪱
