Did you know that February is Turners Syndrome awareness month? 💜
Turners Syndrome is a chromosomal disorder that affects females. A person's physical characteristics such as their eye color, hair color, and whether you are a male or female, are determined by their chromosomes and DNA! All chromosomes come in pairs. One pair of chromosomes determines if a person is a male or a female! Females normally have two X chromosomes but with Turners Syndrome the female only has one X chromosome. Turners Syndrome can cause developmental delays with fine and gross motor skills.
To help spread awareness we want to highlight our friend Taylor! Taylor is working on getting stronger here at BPT Kidz in physical therapy!Taylor is working hard on her running, jumping and overall coordination! We want to help spread awareness on Turners Syndrome and celebrate Taylor! 🤩😎🙌💜💜
