We are beyond proud to recognize our Accura Employee of the Year, Joni S. 🎉
With an incredible 29 years in healthcare—including 26 years of dedicated service at Accura—Joni truly embodies what it means to provide compassionate, consistent, and high-quality care. As a Certified Medical Assistant, she brings not only extensive knowledge and experience, but also a genuine warmth that leaves a lasting impact on everyone she meets.
Joni shares that what she enjoys most about her role is the residents, and it shows in everything she does. She has a natural ability to connect with them, brighten their days, and bring laughter into even the simplest moments. Her presence creates comfort, trust, and joy for those in her care.
Outside of work, Joni stays busy with her four children and four grandchildren, who keep her life full and active. She also enjoys making jewelry, shopping trips to the city, and spending time with her beloved cats.
When you speak with her leaders and teammates, they all echo the same sentiment—Joni is truly one of a kind. She is known for being incredibly caring, dependable, and fun, always ready with a joke to lift spirits. She is someone we confidently rely on to help train new employees because of her patience, kindness, and commitment to doing things the right way. Her willingness to support others and share her knowledge makes a lasting impact on our entire team.
Joni’s dedication over the years has helped shape the culture of our facility. Her loyalty, reliability, and positive attitude are a big part of what makes Accura such a special place—for both residents and staff. And of course, many of us admire her signature style—Joni is truly a fashionista, always looking polished and put together!
