When JUST A CAR RIDE is not JUST A CAR RIDE!

While getting to know our sweet patient, we found out she used to manage a car dealership in the Boise area. So we reached out to one of our community partners and asked for a huge favor. A ride in a convertible!

🇺🇸Thank you will never be enough.🇺🇸

At White Oak Hospice, we wanted to spotlight one of our patients that served in the Navy during World War II.

Our Veteran coordinator and clinical team had the honor of pinning this sweet Veteran, Ladell, and also presenting him with an 🇺🇸American Flag🇺🇸that was flown September 9, 2025 at the request of Commanding Officer, Dan Keeler on board of the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Nimitz-class aircraft carrier, while heading out to sea. This small act of kindness to honor Ladell meant the world to him and our team.

As our beautiful flag, certificate, and challenger coin was presented, we listened to our patient tell us about how much he loves our country and how much he loved serving as a boatswain to the Admiral.

It was a beautiful moment and one our White Oak Hospice team and staff at The Cottages will not forget.

A special THANK YOU to The Cottages of Weiser. You all do such a wonderful job caring for our patient.

We recently planted a White Oak Tree and laid a stone in honor of our patients who have passed on. It was quite humbling to see the many faces of those who loved our patients the most… their families and close friends.

Our team truly loves working along side those during such a sensitive time. It is our passion. Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating their lives.
