E. Gypsy “Judy” Alderman, passed away in the evening of August 9, 2025, peacefully in her sleep at home in Hampton FL. Judy was born April 26 ,1936 in Meadow Bridge West Virginia to Eldon and Ruby Judy. Judy was an avid gardener, homemaker wife and mother. Judy married the love of her life William R “Bill Alderman on August 25,1960. Judy enjoyed reading, canning and fishing, especially in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Judy was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and was a friend to all. E. Gypsy “Judy” Alderman was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Ruby Judy of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia; her loving husband of 64 years, William R “Bill” Alderman of Hampton, FL; beloved daughter, Catherine Alderman Campbell of Clintonville, WV; brother, Holbert Judy of Meadow Bridge, Paul Judy of Crescent City, CA; and sister, Willetta Judy of Meadow Bridge, WV.

Judy leaves behind son, Thomas Alderman of Hampton, FL; daughter, Cynthia (Kevin) Gnann of Hampton, FL; grandson, Will Alderman of Hampton, FL; Wade (Heather) Gnann of Hampton, FL; brothers, David Judy, Hubert Judy, Henry Judy; sisters, Caroline ( Kaye) Tincher, Joan Jones, Eula Judy all of Meadow Bridge, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Judy was laid to rest in a private family Graveside Service on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Crosby Lake Cemetery Starke, FL. In lieu of flowers, she requested for each person to find Kindness in their heart and pass it forward. Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Sumner- Wilma “Lorene” Sumner, age 78, of Starke, Florida, passed away on August 11, 2025, at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center in Gainesville, Florida surrounded by family. Lorene was born on November 19, 1946, in Starke, Florida, to the late Willis Clifton Broughton, Sr. and Nina Corene Broughton. Lorene was a lifelong resident of Bradford County. While attending Bradford High School, Lorene married her best friend and forever companion, Clyde W. Sumner, Sr., on May 19, 1962. They were blessed with 51 amazing years of marriage, 3 beautiful children, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Family was Lorene’s greatest joy. She took pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother and loved tending to their needs. From an early age, Lorene had a deep desire to help others and be a light to those she surrounded. Beyond her role as a homemaker, Lorene was able to advocate for others and impact many through her careers. She worked at Lake Butler Sewing Factory and managed local convenience stores for years, but her true calling was serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant and owning her own company with her daughter Tina, New Perceptions. Her company was dedicated to creating opportunities and providing support for people with disabilities. Through her work, she touched countless lives, giving hope, dignity, and purpose to those often overlooked. When not working, Lorene loved playing computer games and being active at her church, Smyrna Baptist Church, where she was a longtime dedicated member. She was truly a woman of faith and a devoted believer in Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. Lorene was known for making the best cup of coffee, a talent even her grandchildren enjoyed. She also had a love for butterflies, finding in them a symbol of beauty and sweet transformation. Her collection of butterfly treasures extended throughout her home; delicate figurines, artwork, bedspreads, etc. It surely brought happiness and beauty to each day. More than anything, Lorene loved spending precious time with her family. She was such a treasure and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; and loving husband Clyde Sumner, Sr.; and sister, Ruby Joyce Sutton.

Lorene is survived by her children, Tina (John) Hutchins of Starke, FL, Brenda (Malin) Sumner Dick of Raiford, FL, and Clyde W. Sumner, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Willis “ Buddy” Broughton, Jr. of Lake Butler, FL; sister, Louann Simpson of Keystone Heights, FL; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; along with many family members and friends.

A Celebration of Lorene’s Life will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11:00 am at Smyrna Baptist Church with Pastor Thomas William Smith, Pastor Paul Cannon, and Pastor Charles Starling to officiate. Interment will follow at Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 at Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel Arrangements are under the care and direction of V. Kerley- Robert Kerley, Sr., age 76, of Lawtey, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, at Suwannee Valley Hospice Care Center in Lake City, Florida. He was born on July 14, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Cecile and Elonor Kerley. After high school, Robert attended trade school, where he earned his certification in carpentry, a skill he took great pride in throughout his long and fulfilling career in carpentry and construction. Robert married the love of his life, Gracie Partner Kerley, and together they shared almost 50 years of marriage. In the 1990s, they moved their family to Lawtey, Florida, where they built a loving home filled with cherished memories. A man of deep faith, Robert was a devoted member of Smyrna Baptist Church, where he enjoyed worshiping and fellowshipping with his church family. In his spare time, he loved flipping through car books, watching old western movies, tending to his blueberry trees, and cheering on his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Robert was known for his great sense of humor and ability to make others laugh. One of his most treasured daily routines was speaking on the phone with his loyal childhood best friend, Joe Howard. Robert was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Gracie Partner Kerley; and three sons: David, Thomas, and Baby Kerley.

Robert is survived by his sons; John (Denise) Kerley, Robert Kerley, Jr. and Andrew Kerley all of Lawtey, FL; grandchildren, Tricia (Cody) Gillyard, Tanya (Jules) Combs, Michael Griffis; great grandchildren, Anthony Batten, Darrell Combs Karina Combs, Dalilah Gillyard, Zylah Gillyard along with many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Robert’s Life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00 am At Smyrna Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Starling to officiate. interment to follow at Hope Baptist Cemetery. Wilkinson -Winfred “Wilkie” Conner Wilkinson, age 88, of Middleburg, Florida, formerly of Rolling Fork, Mississippi died on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, in Middleburg, Florida. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Pinecrest Cemetery in Tchula, Mississippi. Wilkie was born on July 11, 1937 to Prentiss Winfred and Mary Conner Wilkinson in Morgan City, Mississippi. He married Betty Sue McPhail on September 20, 1960, in Tchula, Mississippi. Before retiring, he was the hospital administrator at Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork, Mississippi for 12 years. He was a former case manager and taught a computer class at Issaquena County Prison in Mayersville, Mississippi. Wilkie and Betty Sue owned Wilkie’s Grocery and Cafe in Mayersville, Mississippi. Wilkie’s Grocery was also a depot for Helena Chemicals. Wilkie graduated from Morgan City High School, Class of 1955. He graduated with a business degree from Mississippi State University, Class of 1963. Wilkie joined the Navy after high school. He served as an electrician on the USS Gyatt DDG-1, the world’s first guided missile destroyer. Wilkie was a former manager at W.T. Grant Company and a merchandiser manager at TG&Y. Wilkie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Glen Allan, Mississippi. He loved all things about the Mississippi State Bulldogs and traveling. His favorite place to visit was Branson, Missouri, where he loved the comedy shows and seeing the leaves change color in the fall. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Donna Sue Wilkinson; son, Michael Dale Wilkinson, and sister, Betty Ancheta and nephew, Charlie Bell, both of Emory, Texas.

Wilkie is survived by daughters: Judy Raines (Steve) of Cleveland, Mississippi, and Laura Wilkinson (Kalonie) of Middleburg, Florida; three grandchildren: Stephen Michael Raines (Hanah) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Daniel Jacob Raines of Cleveland, Mississippi; Taylor Kalonie Wilkinson of Middleburg, Florida; and nephew Mike Bell (Lorraine) of Emory, Texas.

Mixer - Erick Wayne Mixer, age 62, of Starke, Florida, passed away on August 3, 2025, at his residence. Born on April 23, 1963, in Thomasville, North Carolina, he was the son of Patricia Ann Roberts. He graduated from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville in 1981. Erick took great pride in learning the art of Taekwondo Karate and earning his blackbelt. After high school, Erick enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Erick became a skilled Heating and Air Technician. Erick took immense joy in reading. A talented drawer and outdoor enthusiast, he especially loved being on the water, surfing, and spending time kayaking. Erick will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Erick is survived by his loving family. Patricia Ann Roberts, Tammie Sloan, Nikki Sloan, Kylynn Davis, Buck Davis, Daniel Mixer, Abigail Mixer and Gage Graham.
