What is NADA? The NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol is a form of ear acupuncture that includes the gentle placement of five sterile, single-use, hair-thin needles aimed at inducing relaxation, alleviating stress, and reducing anxiety. The five points used are the sympathetic point, which calms the nervous system and helps switch you into a parasympathetic state; the Shen Men point, for reducing anxiety and nervousness; the kidney point, for calming fears and healing internal organs; the liver point to promote detoxification, blood purification, and to soothe irritation and aggression; and the lung point to encourage aeration and help let go of grief.
