Most growers harvest too early—and it costs them potency, flavor, and control. The real marker of harvest readiness isn’t pistils or calendars. It’s trichome maturity—and the “right” moment depends on your goal.

Clear trichomes = still developing
Cloudy (milky) = peak THC and a more cerebral effect
Mostly cloudy with some amber = heavier, more relaxing body high

There is no single perfect harvest window. Experienced growers read trichomes so they can choose the optimal ripeness for the product they want to create—whether that’s maximum THC, full-spectrum balance, or a more sedative profile.

Koch Foundation Challenges Cannabis Prohibition From The Right

The excellent website, Ma*****naMoment .net is reporting Top Conservative Group Urges Supreme Court To Take Ma*****na Case Challenging Federal Prohibition.

As the article explains, the challenge is being led by Americans for Prosperity Foundation which is the “political advocacy group” for the multi billionaire Koch family.

Unlike most of the other think tanks, it doesn’t have to worry about keeping outside donors happy, and unlike most of the so-called “conservative” organizations, the Koch family has strong libertarian tendencies.

I have been enormously frustrated that many “conservative” organizations, with some notable exceptions, like National Review, have let themselves be captured by the intellectual sleaze of the re**er madness crowd. The Heritage Foundation is an absolute embarrassment.

Of course, other anti Prohibitionists also include the Cato Institute, of which Charles Koch was a cofounder. Cato’s executive vice president, the late David Boaz, served on the NORML board of directors when I was National Director.

I especially like the Reason Foundation, which also publishes Reason. They have also had support from the Koch family and are explicitly Libertarian and have always been consistently anti Prohibitionist.

While the Supreme Court challenge will be about the Constitution, in the background, the political influence of the Koch family will complicate the politics on the Right.
