This year, Aveanna State College proudly hosted our very first Holiday Party for patients, families, and staff — and what a celebration it was! Our office transformed into a magical Winter Wonderland filled with delicious food, festive fun, and of course… Santa and his elves!

Our hearts are full of excitement and holiday cheer, and we couldn’t imagine a better community to share this special season with. Thank you to all the Aveanna family members who came out to celebrate with us. We can’t wait to do it again soon!

Home Care Nursing Works — Let’s Fund the Frontlines.

Our patient Blessing, her mom, her dedicated Aveanna nurse Minyette, Executive Director Pat, and Care Experience Manager Nia were honored to visit Senator Street’s office to share Blessing’s story and discuss the urgent need to increase Shift Nursing Medicaid reimbursement rates in Pennsylvania.

Blessing was born at 26 weeks and spent 11 months in the NICU. She relies on consistent, skilled Shift Nursing to remain safely at home. Stagnant reimbursement rates make it increasingly difficult for providers to recruit and retain the nurses families like Blessing's depend on.

Meaningful Shift Nursing Medicaid rate increases are essential to ensure that children like Blessing receive the high-quality care they deserve where they want to be — at home.
