Many thanks to the student leaders of Centre PACT and the Centre Foundation for funding a grant to help The Pennsylvania Mental Health Initiative offer professional development for teachers in rural school districts in Centre County. Our programs in the coming year will be designed to help teachers understand mental health diagnoses and trauma-informed care. And teachers will learn how to encourage their students to understand mental health wellness, stress management, mindfulness and healthy coping strategies.
