Join Erika Isler, certified Equus coach, and Jackie Naginey Hook, spiritual director, celebrant, and end-of-life doula, to more deeply explore grief through experiential work with horses.

Participants will be guided through safe exercises with the herd to help each person, and the group, find meaning in the challenges that the universal experiences of loss present. As natural empaths, horses offer us rich insights into grief, loss, compassion, and resilience. What will you learn after a few hours with a herd of horses? You won’t look at your journey the same way again.

*Pre-registration is required and space is limited to six people. For more information and to register, call Erika at 814-883-4001 or Jackie at 814-404-0546. No horse experience is required for this workshop. This is a hands-on workshop; there is no riding involved! Light refreshments provided.

A funeral or memorial service provides a safe, shared environment where people can express their grief by sharing memories and stories of their loved one. Mourning in community helps individuals process the loss, reducing feelings of isolation or internalized sadness. Let us support you ↓.

Adults of all ages are welcome – intergenerational support is a powerful healer too.

Welcome to Koch Funeral Home

One century ago, in 1913, Harry Newton Koch and his wife, Margaret Campbell Koch, opened Koch Funeral Home in their own home at South Burrowes Street and West College Avenue.
