John Pettengill is certified with McKenzie institute USA as a spinal specialist and a 1986 graduate of Hahnemann Medical College (now Drexel) with an M.S. In addition to the extensive McKenzie certification program he completed in 1995, John has also completed considerable continuing education in manual therapy and the treatment of spinal disorders. John has been Graston Technique certified since

2014 and Functional Dry Needling certified since 2017. Back to Life's facility is comprised of 6 private treatment rooms (no curtained booths) and an exercise area. We focus on exercise which is functional and easily reproduced at home. Our staff prides itself on its friendliness and efficiency. We can accommodate most new referrals within 24 hours.

UPDATE regarding Back to Life and the COVID-19:
We understand that for many of our patients, therapy is essential to their recovery from injury or surgery or to their general physical health. For this reason, our door remains open and we are willing to treat.
Safety is our top priority. You should know that we are monitoring information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and have implemented all recommended enhanced cleaning and disinfecting measures to provide a safe environment for our staff and patients.
To that end, if you are feeling ill with flu or cold-like symptoms, we ask that you please reschedule until you are symptom-free for at least 72 hours.
For those patients who would feel more comfortable in a one-on-one setting in an otherwise closed office, I am offering a limited number of appointments next week.
