Wellness in Motion is an intimate yoga studio, located at 2541 East College Avenue, State College PA (Suite 104). We offer smaller class sizes, a welcoming atmosphere, judgement-free zone, and a community feel. Sure, yoga will help increase your strength, flexibility and balance, but we also provide an opportunity for you to connect with your mind, body and breath. Experience yoga, taught in an atmosphere of safety and acceptance. Learn how to turn inward and find your own pace and way of being. Reduce stress, free physical tension, and connect to your inner wisdom on a deeper level. Wellness in Motion offers classes for every body - all ability levels and all ages. Our younger yogis will find their class offerings under the youth yoga tab (top right). Information on our regular, weekly adult yoga classes can be found under the classes and events tab. We know that some people enjoy moving slowly and others enjoy moving more quickly, so our classes range from Gentle Yoga to Power Flow Yoga with a little of everything in between. We won silver for Centre County Favorites ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you all for taking the time to vote. We could show off a flashy image here, but that costs just shy of $1100 to license and we’d rather focus on keeping yoga affordable and accessible for you. We do appreciate your love.

Tuesdays, 9a

Take your practice to a new level with this strength based movement class that integrates yoga, functional fitness and strength training. No experience is necessary, as options will be offered to create the just right challenge for you. In class we may practice with body weight or incorporate small dumbbells and/or resistance bands.

Welcome Sandra

Sandra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with those who are healing from trauma. The mindfulness practices of meditation and yoga were a grounding part of Sandra’s life experience, and she realized how necessary the mind-body experience is for overall wellness. Sandra became a Registered Yoga Teacher in 2017 and served an internship with a mindfulness practice in 2018.

Sandra recently expanded this understanding with Somatic work, becoming a Certificated Integrative Trauma Practitioner using various body-mind interventions in the healing process. Sandra’s classes are slow, gentle, and grounded with a focus on body, mind and breath.

Sandra has adding a Somatic Yoga class on Monday evenings at 6pm.
Somatic yoga prioritizes thoughts, feelings and body awareness over form. The process is what matters, not athletic proficiency.

Body, mind and breath come together to support your system in this gentle practice. In this grounding and centering class, there is no right, no wrong, and no rush; just permission to show up on your mat exactly as you are.

Welcome Back PSU Students, Faculty and Staff! We wish you the all the best this semester and school year. Did you know that Wellness in Motion offers a Welcome Week Pass? This pass can be purchased at any time during the year (not just back to school) and is good for 7 consecutive days to be used on unlimited classes.
The welcome pass allows you to test drive as many classes as you'd like, making it easier to find the right fit for you.

New Teacher Spotlight
Meet Lynn

Lynn fell in love with yoga in her late thirties shortly after moving to Kauai. She met her teacher, Bhavani Maki, there and spent eight years in deep study with her. In 2009, Lynn received her Yoga Alliance certification from Yoga Hanalei. Since then, she has taught countless private and group classes, workshops, and assisted in Teacher Trainings in Hawaii, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Lynn’s teaching style combines detailed asana alignment, the classic teachings of the Patanjali Yoga Sutra, humor, warmth, and curated personal attention. She views yoga as a tool for transformation on every level. Lynn aims to help her students sift through the mind chatter, unravel their self-limiting patterns, and discover the guru within.

Lynn is leading All Levels Hatha Yoga Class on Wednesday mornings at 9am.

This all-levels Hatha style class will combine slow flow and longer-held poses. Class will vary, and may include standing, seated, balancing, twisting, and reclined postures, gentle backbends, supported inversions, pranayama, and meditation. Drop in, open up, strengthen, and stabilize, as thought and tension pattern reveal themselves. Get to know the asanas - and yourself - from the inside out. This practice is grounded in the alignment refinement and the classic teachings of the Patanjali Yoga Sutra.
