Wellness in Motion is an intimate yoga studio, located at 2541 East College Avenue, State College PA (Suite 104). We offer smaller class sizes, a welcoming atmosphere, judgement-free zone, and a community feel. Sure, yoga will help increase your strength, flexibility and balance, but we also provide an opportunity for you to connect with your mind, body and breath. Experience yoga, taught in an at

mosphere of safety and acceptance. Learn how to turn inward and find your own pace and way of being. Reduce stress, free physical tension, and connect to your inner wisdom on a deeper level. Wellness in Motion offers classes for every body - all ability levels and all ages. Our younger yogis will find their class offerings under the youth yoga tab (top right). Information on our regular, weekly adult yoga classes can be found under the classes and events tab. We know that some people enjoy moving slowly and others enjoy moving more quickly, so our classes range from Gentle Yoga to Power Flow Yoga with a little of everything in between. Free Community Workshop: Scoliosis 101 - Understanding the 3D Nature of Scoliosis and How to Support Your Body

June is National Scoliosis Awareness Month, and we’re excited to do our part by hosting a free community workshop! This session is designed for individuals with scoliosis and the people who support them—loved ones, caregivers, and medical professionals are all welcome.

In this workshop, we’ll explore:
- The true three‑dimensional nature of scoliosis (hint: it’s far more complex than a simple sideways curve).
- How scoliosis creates a ripple effect throughout the entire body.
- Why traditional core‑strengthening exercises often fall short for people with scoliosis.
- Mandy’s top three core exercises that do work for scoliosis.

Looking for the right class for you? Let us help! Our schedule is color coded to make picking the right class just a little easier.

Novice- No prior yoga experience is required for this type of class. While the class may challenge you in different ways, all levels are welcomed.

Intermediate- The challenge level in these classes assumes you have some previous experience. The basics are often not explained in detail here and the challenge may range from difficulty of pose/shape/movement to general pace of class.

Advanced- These classes are your stand on your head type classes. Just kidding! Advanced classes will offer a greater level of difficulty both physically and mentally, that assumes you have some previous experience in yoga and movement practices.

Youth - These classes and sometimes series of classes are geared towards our youngest yogi. Age range can include infant and toddler through the tween years. You will want to check the description of the actual class for exact details when registering.

Yoga Therapy for Scoliosis - These classes require a specific pass. For more information, or to see if this is the right fit for you, send a message.

Events/Series/Specialized Classes - These classes are typically specific to an age group, a service or fee scale not included with regular passes.

It might feel like Sunday, but it’s actually Monday. We kick tomorrow off with an upper body day in Grounded Strength (9am online or in studio).

Rows are one of our favorite exercises for the upper body. When done properly it strengthens the trapezius and rhomboid muscles (great to counteract the forward rounded posture that so many of us age into). It also works the lats (largest muscle in the upper body), biceps, triceps and the posterior deltoids.

The variation shown here is a row from a balancing table position, which ramps up the need for core strength and works on balance.

Rows are a “pulling” exercise making them a wonderful addition to a yoga practice because yoga primarily involves pushing exercises.
