Wellness in Motion is an intimate yoga studio, located at 2541 East College Avenue, State College PA (Suite 104). We offer smaller class sizes, a welcoming atmosphere, judgement-free zone, and a community feel. Sure, yoga will help increase your strength, flexibility and balance, but we also provide an opportunity for you to connect with your mind, body and breath. Experience yoga, taught in an atmosphere of safety and acceptance. Learn how to turn inward and find your own pace and way of being. Reduce stress, free physical tension, and connect to your inner wisdom on a deeper level. Wellness in Motion offers classes for every body - all ability levels and all ages. Our younger yogis will find their class offerings under the youth yoga tab (top right). Information on our regular, weekly adult yoga classes can be found under the classes and events tab. We know that some people enjoy moving slowly and others enjoy moving more quickly, so our classes range from Gentle Yoga to Power Flow Yoga with a little of everything in between. Sound Bath Experience with Laura Sarge
January 25th, February 22nd, and March 22nd at 5p

Join Laura Sarge, certified Sound Healer and practitioner of energy wellness, for a deeply centering and restorative Sound Bath experience. A Sound Bath is a guided meditation and relaxation practice designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, helping to counterbalance stress and support Chakra alignment.

During the session, Laura uses crystal singing bowls, complementary sound-healing instruments, gentle lighting, and aromatherapy to create a hands-off, immersive environment that encourages vibrational healing. Please note that Sound Baths are not recommended for individuals with larger metal implants. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and be prepared to sit or lie on the floor as they are guided into a state of relaxation and renewal.

Laura has spent nearly a decade working with sound vibration, Reiki, and herbalism, inspired by her search for holistic ways to support her family’s well-being. In addition to her healing work, she is also a Librarian with a love for lifelong learning, research, cozy cardigans, cats, and—of course—tea.

Groovy Chi: Qigong, Intuitive Dance, & Vocal Toning
January 17 @ 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

No Dancing or Singing Experience Necessary! Just a Groovy Attitude!

Come get groovy with us and move some Qi (life force energy) at our special event! This gathering will be an opportunity for you to express yourself in free form dance and also to be led in some very basic Qigong and dance movements by Terri Dennis. No dance experience is necessary, and everyone is welcome to modify any suggested movements to accommodate their own physical capabilities. Terri will be playing a variety of musical genres, including both slow and lyrical pieces, and more upbeat and uplifting tunes!

Give yourself the gift of ultimate rest! Yoga Nidra is returning to the studio this January. Join Jill for a mini series (4 weeks) of yoga nidra from the comfort of your own home, aka zoom.

While generally thought of as a form of relaxation, Yoga nidra is technically a meditation technique. During the practice, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness is functioning on a deeper level of awareness. Unlike traditional meditation, Yoga nidra doesn’t require you to sit tall or to concentrate and still your mind. In yoga nidra, the state of relaxation is reached by systematically turning inwards and away from outer experiences, providing the practitioner with deep relaxation.

Sessions will be Thursdays Jan 8th - 29th at 8:30pm.

Have you scheduled your classes for this upcoming week?

This month, we’re inviting you to commit to consistency and make yoga a habit you can carry forward. Attend 13 classes in January (1st–31st) and you’ll earn a FREE Wellness in Motion “Lucky 13” T-shirt as a reminder of the commitment you made to yourself.

Once you’ve completed your 13 classes, simply email us for verification and entry.
