Let’s make healing the standard, not the exception.
We all need a reset sometimes.
This summer, I’m speaking at the Flourish Summit, a virtual experience built to support BIPOC mental health (anyone is welcomed to attend).

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, caregiving, identity shifts, or burnout - you don’t have to do it alone.
This event will meet you with resources, tools, and a whole lot of soul.
Happening July 26-27.

😮‍💨 Parents are feeling the pressure - and we get it. That’s why The Kids Mental Health Foundation offers more than just free tools for children’s mental health. We also provide resources to support the mental well-being of the adults in kids' lives.

That's because kids' mental health starts with us. 🧠✨. Even just a few minutes a day of self-care can make a big difference - for you and your child.

Mental health support starts early.

50% of all mental health conditions begin by age 14—and 75% by age 24. That’s why building mental health literacy in childhood and adolescence is key to lifelong well-being.

Whether you're a young person navigating big emotions, a parent trying to support your child, or a teacher or caregiver looking for tools—you’re not alone.

✨This month, STAT had the privilege of leading a dynamic and much-needed conversation with 40 incredible youth at summer camp! ✨

Together, we explored the power of emotional and mental health—from understanding our personal capacity to learning how to communicate our needs with confidence and clarity. We dug into what makes us tick, the differences in brain development, and how that affects how we process and respond to life.

Most importantly, we reminded each young person that having big feelings is human—and learning healthy coping strategies is a superpower. 💪🏾🧠

STAT is committed to helping youth build self-awareness, resilience, and tools for lifelong well-being. Yesterday was proof that when we make space for real conversations, we plant seeds that grow strong futures. 🌱💛

✊🏾 Happy Juneteenth from S.T.A.T! 🖤❤️💚

Today, we honor freedom, reflect on resilience, and recommit to the healing of our communities, mind, body, and soul.

Juneteenth reminds us that liberation is more than a moment in history, it's a daily journey of breaking chains, speaking truth, and reclaiming our power.

At S.T.A.T, we believe in mental freedom just as much as physical. That means:
🧠 Unlearning stigma
💬 Creating safe spaces for vulnerability
🛠️ Building generational strength through awareness and access

As we celebrate this day, let us also remember—we are our ancestors’ wildest dreams, and every breath we take in healing is an act of revolution.

🖤 Happy Father’s Day from S.T.A.T. 🖤

Today, we pause to honor the fathers, father figures, and men who are choosing to lead with heart, healing, and intention.

To the Black and Brown men rewriting the narrative—
To the dads who are present, even while processing their own pain—
To the ones who are learning to love better than they were loved—
To the fathers breaking generational cycles while building up their children—
We see you. We honor you. We THANK you.

Fatherhood is not just a role—it’s a daily decision to show up.
And we know that showing up emotionally, mentally, and spiritually is not always easy.
It takes strength to be soft. It takes courage to seek healing. It takes power to stay.

S.T.A.T. stands with every man committed to growth, vulnerability, and being a safe space for the next generation.
Because healthy fathers raise healthier children, and that’s how we change the future!!

💙 Your presence matters. Your love matters. Your story matters.

Happy Father’s Day, Kings. 👑

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and we can’t ignore what we’ve seen time and time again.

Too many men are silently battling internal wars—with pressure, pain, and past wounds—without a safe space to just be.

Instead of opening up, they’re often taught to numb it:
🥃 with alcohol
🧱 with emotional walls
🏃🏽‍♂️ with overworking, avoidance, or isolation
🗣️ with “I’m fine” when they’re really not

And it’s not just about him.
His silence, his struggle, his self-neglect—it impacts everyone connected to him.
The children waiting for his presence.
The partner longing for emotional connection.
The friends who don’t know how to ask the real questions.
The community that misses out on his full potential.

Unaddressed pain doesn’t disappear. It leaks. And often, it spills onto the people we love the most.

At S.T.A.T. (Start The Awareness Today), we’re committed to creating safe, judgment-free spaces where men—especially Black and minority men—can take off the mask, speak the truth, and begin to heal.

It’s okay to admit you’re tired.
It’s okay to need help.
It’s okay to want more for your mind, body, and soul.

You are not weak for feeling. You are human for healing.

Let’s stop telling men to “man up” without showing him how to process and cope healthily. It's toxic.
Let’s start telling them: “You don’t have to do this alone.” and "You deserve peace, too."

If you’re a man reading this, or someone who loves one—check in. For real.
Your peace matters. Your presence matters. Your healing matters...because YOU matter and you are valuable as a human being.

🧠💙 Men’s Mental Health Matters.
Not because men are weak, but because they’ve been told they always have to be strong.

Far too many men suffer in silence...carrying the weight of expectations, pain, trauma, and responsibility without ever being asked, “How are you, really?”

At STAT (Start the Awareness Today), we believe:
📢 It’s okay for men to feel.
📢 It’s okay to not have all the answers.
📢 It’s okay to ask for help.

Let’s rewrite the narrative.
Let’s make space for vulnerability, healing, and emotional wellness, for our brothers, fathers, sons, uncles, partners, and friends.

Check in. Speak up. Support without judgment.

💬 To the men out there: You don't have to be or feel alone. Your mental health matters to us just as much as your physical health.

And strength looks like reaching out, too.

“Outside Is a Prescription Too”

Did you know that just 20 minutes outside can reduce stress, boost your mood, and increase feelings of connection?

This week, let nature be your therapist and community be your medicine. 🌿💬
🧠 Social time + fresh air = mental wellness gold!

📍Try this: Invite a friend or neighbor for a walk-and-talk. No pressure, just presence.
