Experience Bliss by being in the moment and grateful for what it offers.

Allow yourself to enjoy small pleasures: Doing so without self-judgement, guilt, or shame.

Notice the sensory details: Pay attention to the sights, sounds, smells, tastes, textures to fully immerse yourself in the experience.

Choose instant pleasures that are beneficial to well-being: for example restore energy, are restful, etc.

Use small rewards to support healthy behaviors: such as taking a break after a long day at work, or walking in nature when feeling overwhelmed.

Enjoy progress over outcome: Giving yourself permission to pause and relish in the joy of where you are in the moment.

Practice gratitude: For the small and simple moments that you bring you joy, comfort, relaxation, etc.

Balance short-term pleasures with long-term goals: Remembering that delayed gratification has a place in life as well.

Make space for instant enjoyment and responsibility: Doing so without seeing them as opposites, but rather part of a well balanced life.

What is that?
There are so many creatures that live in Lake Tahoe. If you slow down and allow yourself to observe you might see a few.

In the early mornings you can hear the birds chirping, but can't always see them. Bunnies hop through neighborhoods seeking breakfast snacks.

During dawn and dusk you might observe a coyote pack wandering by. During the heat of the day snakes and lizards sun themselves on rocks. At anytime, if you're quiet and in the right place, a bear could cross your path.

You can experience bliss by being present with nature.

Your rest should compliment your work.
Sleep is important, but rest helps to rejuvenate by allowing your systems to down regulate when you've felt stressed, agitated or exhausted. During rest you allow your body, breath, mind and energy to slow. You settle into a state that exists beyond awake and before asleep.

You can access rest by spending time in a peaceful place with few distractions where you feel comfortable, safe and unattached to time.

It will get hot enough to want to cool off in a cold stream, but for now the Sierra Nevada winds are still creating a chill.

Prepare for your day in Tahoe by dressing in layers. The night air still drops below freezing, the daytime sun can burn your skin and the mountain breezes can give you goose bumps.

We're always checking conditions and watching the weather so we can recommend the best experience time and place. As much as we want to share bliss on the lake, the conditions might not yet be right. So, trust us when we suggest an on-land or indoor location. Remember, bliss can be experienced everywhere.
