We all know what pre-diabetes is.

But there is also a pre-Alzheimer’s stage that most people-and most doctors-aren’t trained to identify.

Patients can pass memory tests over and over and still be told “you’re fine,” not because nothing is happening, but because conventional medicine only diagnoses Alzheimer’s after symptoms are obvious. By then, the damage is already extensive.

The good news? We can intervene early-by targeting:
• Mitochondrial decline (brain energy)
• Chronic inflammation
• Toxic exposure (mold, heavy metals)
• Low brain growth factors
• Neurotransmitter imbalance
• Chronic stress that literally shrinks brain volume

If you’re having memory lapses, word-finding issues, or brain fog-but you’re told “everything looks normal”-that’s not reassurance.

That’s your window to take action.

75% of people who have heart attacks have normal cholesterol.

If you’ve been told “your cholesterol is fine” but you have family history, chronic inflammation, or metabolic dysfunction-don’t let that stop you from asking for more.

“Normal cholesterol” ≠ “low cardiovascular risk.”
Cholesterol becomes dangerous when inflammation oxidizes it.

If you’re dealing with insulin resistance, gut inflammation, poor sleep, chronic stress, or sedentary lifestyle-inflammation is driving risk even if cholesterol is “fine.”
You need inflammatory markers: hs-CRP, oxidized LDL, Lp(a), fasting insulin.

You need lifestyle interventions: sleep, stress management, movement, anti-inflammatory nutrition.

Don’t accept “your cholesterol is normal” as the end of the conversation.

Medical genetics is trained to focus on disease.

What goes wrong. What makes people sick. But what if we flipped that? What if instead of studying diabetic populations, we studied populations with extraordinary metabolic resilience? What if instead of mapping genetic mutations that cause disease, we studied genetic adaptations that create thriving?Dr. Melissa Llardo did exactly that.

She studied sea nomads in Indonesia who can hold their breath for 13 minutes and dive 200 feet deep without equipment. What she found: They evolved spleens 50% larger than neighboring populations—a genetic adaptation that happened in less than 2,000 years. This wasn’t training.

This was evolution acting on human physiology in real time.Medicine obsesses over what breaks down. We code for disease, not for resilience. Lack of disease isn’t recorded in medical records—so it’s never studied.

That’s a massive blind spot. And it affects how your symptoms get interpreted.

Drop the word NORMAL to get my free guide on why “normal” test results don’t capture resilience, adaptation, or optimal function—and what to advocate for instead.

✨ If something feels off, don’t ignore it.

When breast cancer is found early, the 5-year survival rate is over 99%. That’s why mammograms + body awareness matter.

👉 Know what your breasts normally feel like
👉 Notice changes: lumps, pain, discharge, size differences
👉 Trust your instincts + speak up

Yes, genes play a role. But lifestyle does too: nourishing food, movement, quality sleep, limiting alcohol + to***co = lower risk.

The good news? Treatment today is more advanced + personalized than ever — immunotherapy, precision medicine, and tailored plans that improve outcomes while reducing side effects.

💡 To anyone nervous about a mammogram: information is power. Early knowledge can save your life.
Don’t wait for permission to trust your instincts.

We obsess over heart health—but your brain deserves the same attention.

Sleep, movement, connection, and food choices don’t just protect your heart—they keep your brain sharp and lower your risk of Alzheimer’s.

You don’t need complicated protocols or gym memberships.

Just consistent daily choices that support your brain—small actions that add up to real protection.

09/21/2025

Mental fitness isn’t just therapy sessions or medication—it’s everything you do when you leave the office.
The work happens BETWEEN the sessions.
The daily choices that build resilience?
Your therapist can’t do the work for you.
That’s your work alone.

Bloating is real, even if all the labs and tests are normal.

It’s real and it’s uncomfortable.

Whether it’s “IBS”, SIBO, SIFO, or “just” bloat, the patterns matter more than the label.

Track what shifts, what triggers, and what helps—because your body’s is giving you the data you need.
