Matthew H. Lovett & Sons Funeral Home sadly announces the passing of Mr. Hosea JaKeem Williams, a.k.a. “Keemie”; a.k.a. “Lou,” age 32, of Statesboro. Mr. Williams passed into eternal rest on the evening of Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center in Lakeland, FL after a sudden illness.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later. We kindly ask everyone to keep the Ross and Williams family lifted in prayer.

On Saturday, we also paused to celebrate the life of Mr. Claude Wesley Hardy, Sr. A man deeply loved and adored by his family, whose passing came so suddenly and unexpectedly.

Claude’s presence was a gift, he was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose love could be felt in every laugh, every gathering, and every moment he shared. His family and everyone who knew him will forever cherish the memories of his kindness, his strength, and his devotion to his family and friends.

His passing is a reminder to us all that life is precious and far too short. We never truly know what tomorrow holds, which is why today we must love deep, forgive quickly, and hold each other close.

As his life was honored, we also hold fast to the truth that love never dies. The love he gave will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends, serving as a light and legacy that will never fade.

This past Saturday, we had the honor of serving the family of Elder Cleveland R. Odom, Sr. at Miller Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Elder Odom was truly loved by so many, and it showed in the way his life was celebrated. His legacy will live on through the love he poured into his family, his church, and his community.

At Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home, we don’t just provide services, we walk with families through some of their hardest days. We do it with Dignity, Integrity & Compassion, because every life deserves to be honored with the highest level of care, respect and dignity.
