We’re celebrating Annie today on her last day with us as a speech pathology graduate student! She’s brought so much care and positivity into the clinic, and it’s been so special to watch her grow. We’re going to miss her, but we know she’s going to be an incredible speech therapist!!! 🧡🧡🧡

We are grateful to our Georgia State Senator Billy Hickman for visiting our office today to learn about what we do as pediatric speech, physical, and occupational therapists, and for his help in advocating for the children who need our services. We shared all the fun ways our kids target their therapy goals, but we couldn’t talk him into climbing the rock wall or going down the slide in the therapy gym! Maybe next time, Senator Hickman!

For all of our friends and families who have a child who uses alternative forms of communication such as a communication device, sign language, or picture communication be sure to check out this FREE parent training on Saturday! If your child has a communication device, be sure to bring it to the training!

This workshop is the first of its kind in our area. It is geared towards families that struggle with communication at home with a child that is nonverbal or limited vocabulary for their age.
The workshop will provide hands on strategies and participants will walk away with a communication board and materials. They will also leave with at least one strategy they can attempt at home.

Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 - 1:00pm
This is a THREE hour workshop

Great info for families with Katie Beckett waiver!

For my Georgia Katie Beckett families, there is a new online portal that launched today (4-15-26).

This is intended to give families a more direct way to manage their child’s case, including uploading application and renewal documents, checking status updates, and securely messaging your caseworker.

If you submit a new application or renewal, you should receive an email with instructions to set up your account.

I’ll share the link in the comments.

I’m hopeful this will improve communication and visibility into where things stand.

If anyone has started using it, I’d be interested to hear how it’s working so far.
