💙 Important Office Update 💙

After 6 wonderful years with our practice, Dr. Piette will be leaving our office as he and his family prepare to move back home to be closer to their loved ones.

While we are truly sad to see him go, we are incredibly grateful for the dedication, compassion, and exceptional care he has provided to our patients over the years. Dr. Piette has been an important part of our office, and he will be greatly missed by both our staff and our patients.

📢 Eye Drop Recall – What You Need to Know
A quick heads-up for anyone who uses store-brand or generic eye drops!

K.C. Pharmaceuticals, a private label manufacturer based in Pomona, California, has voluntarily recalled over 3.1 million bottles of generic eye drops sold at major retailers. The reason is a “lack of assurance of sterility” — meaning they cannot fully confirm the products were free from contamination during manufacturing.

🏷️ This affects GENERIC/STORE-BRAND eye drops only — NOT name-brand products like Visine, Systane, or Refresh.
📋 The recalled generic products include:
∙ Dry Eye Relief Eye Drops
∙ Artificial Tears Sterile Lubricant Eye Drops
∙ Eye Drops Advanced Relief
∙ Ultra Lubricating Eye Drops
∙ Sterile Eye Drops Original Formula
∙ Sterile Eye Drops Redness Lubricant
∙ Sterile Eye Drops Soothing Tears
∙ Sterile Eye Drops A.C.

These are sold under store brand names at Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Harris Teeter, Kroger, Publix, Meijer, and others.
The affected bottles have expiration dates between April 30 and July 31, 2026.

✅ What to do:
If you have any of these products, it’s best to discard them. You can also return them to the place of purchase for a refund. Check your lot number and expiration date against the full list on the FDA website at FDA.gov — search recall numbers D-0409-2026 through D-0416-2026.
The good news? No contamination has actually been detected so far, and no one has reported an infection from these products. This is simply a precautionary recall.
