Need another reason to wear your CPAP other than getting a good night's sleep? A ResMed-supported study has found that people with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) who use CPAP therapy (continuous positive airway pressure) have a significantly lower risk of death from all causes and cardiovascular disease compared to those who don't use CPAP. The study, involving over 888,000 older adults with OSA, also showed a dose-response relationship, meaning the more consistently CPAP is used, the greater the survival benefits. Walker Home Medical, Statesboro's only locally owned medical equipment company, is looking for a full-time Medical Equipment Delivery & Service Technician. Applicant must be physically capable of lifting and/or carrying up to 50 pounds. Normal working hours are Mon - Fri 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, but this position is subject to On Call on a rotating basis and requires availability on nights and weekends. Due to the approaching winter storm, Walker Home Medical will be closing at 3:00 pm today to allow our employees to travel home safely and will be closed all day Wednesday. At this time, we are planning to reopen at our regular time Thursday morning but will be monitoring the weather and will post any update to those plans.
