Tonight we shared one of our favorite traditions — our annual reading of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas, beautifully read by Ralph and Preston. Their voices filled the room with that special Christmas magic our residents look forward to every year.

We sipped on hot chocolate piled high with whipped topping, and enjoyed the most delicious cookies — a big thank you to Madison Gaston from Georgia Hospice Care for bringing treats and lending a helping hand tonight! Your kindness means so much to all of us.
We also spent time sharing our favorite Christmas memories! The stories were sweet, touching, and full of laughter — everything that makes this season so meaningful.
Our residents had a wonderful evening, and our hearts are full. ❤️🎄

✨ A Beautiful Christmas Celebration ✨

Thank you to all our residents, their families, our volunteers, friends, and staff who came out to our annual Christmas Party last night. It was truly a magical evening filled with laughter, beautiful music, delicious food, and the sweetest smiles. Even Santa stopped by to bring a little extra joy! 🎅❤️

A special thank-you to the wonderful groups and individuals who decorated our residents’ doors this year. Each door was transformed with so much care and creativity, adding beauty, warmth, and Christmas cheer throughout our halls. Our residents absolutely loved it. 🎄✨

You may see a few photos from our staff gathering afterward as well — just a small way we wrapped up the night — but the heart of this celebration was, and always will be, our residents and their families.

In all the fun and festivity, we also paused to remember the true meaning of Christmas: celebrating the birth of Jesus and the love, hope, and joy He brings. ✨

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this night so special. Our hearts are full. ❤️

We had such a fun time celebrating our November birthdays last week! 🎉

Our friends at Dairy Queen generously donated a delicious ice cream cake, and it was a big hit with everyone. 🍰💙

For our birthday game, we switched things up and played a new, fast-paced version that had the residents shouting out answers before the other tables could beat them to it. The room was full of laughter, friendly competition, and lots of smiles.

Congratulations to our winning team, who proudly walked away with a tiny trophy to show off their victory! 🏆

It was a wonderful day of fun and celebration!

This week, our residents received the sweetest surprise from Mrs. Sims’ first grade class at Brooklet Elementary. The students have been learning about gratitude, thankfulness, and giving back — and they put those lessons into action by creating handmade, laminated placemats for our residents to enjoy during Thanksgiving.

I had the honor of passing them out, and let me tell you… the smiles were priceless. Our residents absolutely LOVED looking at the children’s artwork. Each placemat was full of color, creativity, and heart — and it truly brightened their day in the most beautiful way.

To Mrs. Sims and her amazing first graders: thank you for thinking of us, for sharing your kindness, and for reminding us what Thanksgiving is all about. Your act of generosity brought joy, conversation, and a whole lot of smiles to our home.

We may not have captured every moment in photos, but the happiness you brought was felt by everyone here. ❤️

From all of us — Happy Thanksgiving, and thank you for giving back in such a meaningful way!

A huge thank you to the Brooklet Garden Club for spending the afternoon with our residents and helping them create the most beautiful flower plaques! 🌼💛

Using painted pine cones, colorful designs, and a simple piece of wood and sticks, everyone made their own unique flower bouquet — and each one turned out absolutely stunning. The room was full of creativity, joy, and plenty of laughter as our residents painted and crafted together.

We are so grateful for this wonderful group and the blessing they brought to our home today. Our residents had the best time, and their artwork shows it! 🌸❤️

A huge thank you to Sue and Brad for bringing everything we needed to make the cutest turkey door hangers yesterday! 🦃🍁

Made from a leaf and a spoon, these little turkeys turned out adorable, and our residents had such a fun time putting them together. Today they’re proudly hanging on doors all down the hallway, adding the perfect festive touch for Thanksgiving.

We appreciate you both for helping make moments like this so special! ❤️

Our Lunch Bunch had the best time today at Eggs Up Grill! 🥞☕️ The atmosphere was cozy, the conversation was easy, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Everyone found something to enjoy—but our Glenda found her new favorite treat… a cold mocha coffee drink that she’s still talking about!
This spot was a hit for the whole group, and Eggs Up Grill has officially become one of our new favorite places to go! 🍳✨

Sometimes the best thing you can do is hop in the car, roll the windows down, and just get out for a little while. This afternoon we took two of our residents on a spontaneous ride to enjoy the sunshine, look at the sights, and of course… stop for a milkshake! 💛
A simple ride, some fresh air, and a sweet treat can turn an ordinary day into something special. We loved seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter along the way!

Today we took a small but mighty group of residents to see As You Like It at the Performing Arts Center on the Georgia Southern campus. We didn’t have a big crowd with us because of the cold weather, but we did have about 500 lively middle schoolers sharing the auditorium—and I’m still not sure what entertained our residents more…the play itself or watching the kids being kids!

While we waited for the show to begin, our residents had the best time watching the middle schoolers play around, whisper, giggle, and just enjoy being there. And once the play started, the hooting and hollering during the kissing scenes and the wrestling scenes had everyone laughing. The play was wonderful, but the kids definitely added their own kind of show!

Overall, it was a great outing—full of smiles, good entertainment, and a whole lot of fun people-watching. 🎭💛
