Charles Dent

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Charles Christopher Dent, affectionately known as "Chuck," who left this world on April 21, 2026, at the age of 59. Chuck was born on September 23, 1966, in Savannah, Georgia, to the parents Charles F. Dent (Spanky) and the Late Elizabeth M. Dent. Chuck's life was a testament to dedication, kindness, and an unwavering passion for the things he loved most—family, friends, and the great outdoors. Raised in Savannah, Georgia, he graduated from Sol C. Johnson High School, where he forged many of the lifelong friendships he cherished dearly. Following his education, Chuck answered the call of duty and served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate Third Class aboard the USS Donald B. Berry. After his service, Chuck returned to Georgia and channeled his industrious spirit into entrepreneurship, founding his own HVAC company. Known for his craftsmanship and commitment, he turned his passion into a thriving business that served his community with diligence and integrity. Chuck had an adventurous spirit, a love for nature, and an insatiable enthusiasm for sports. Whether casting a line at his favorite fishing spot, hunting in the stillness of the woods, or playing softball, horseshoes, co****le, or bowling, Chuck found joy in competition and camaraderie. An avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and Atlanta Falcons, he was ever loyal to his teams. Sharing laughter, victory, and the occasional heartbreak with those around him. To those who knew him, Chuck was a source of unwavering support. His good-natured ribbing was his way of showing affection, and beneath his teasing exterior lay a heart of gold. Chuck was always ready to lend a helping hand, proving time and again that he was indeed one of the nicest individuals you could ever meet Chuck is survived by his immediate family, uncles and aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held on April 28, 2026, at Believers Church, located at 6495 Harville Rd, Statesboro, Georgia 30458. The service will begin at 6:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived and share stories of the joy Chuck brought into their lives. In remembrance of Chuck, let us continue to live with the same kindness, humor, and passion that he exemplified. May his spirit inspire us to be there for others, just as he always was. Chuck's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
