Mr. Danny Lee Raymond

With heartfelt sympathy and compassion, Craig R. Tremble Funeral Homes, Inc., Statesboro Chapel, along with the family, announces the passing of Mr. Danny Raymond

Mr. Danny Raymond, age 68, peacefully transitioned on Friday, April 24, 2026, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.

A lifelong native of Bulloch County, Mr. Raymond was a dedicated employee of Viracon in Statesboro, Georgia. He was a proud member of the Statesboro High School Class of 1976.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving children: LaDarian (Sayonara) Raymond of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Taylor Raymond of Orlando, Florida; and Meera Ring of North Carolina; mother, Lillie Mae Raymond of Statesboro, GA. He is also survived by his devoted sisters: Pearlie Smith, Glenease Raymond, and Lorraine Raymond, all of Statesboro, Georgia; and Smithere Raymond of Aiken, South Carolina, His Mother Lillie Mae Raymond of Statesboro, GA, along with a host of extended family and friends.

"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."- Psalm 34:18

Calvin “Ham Bone” Mutcherson was born on July 13, 1959, to the late Robert Lee Mutcherson, Sr. and Deaconess Clyde Dupree Mutcherson. He departed this life at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

In addition to his parents, Calvin was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Henry Lee” Mutcherson, and sister, Stephanie Mutcherson Starling.

He obtained his GED in Augusta, Georgia. During his lifetime, he was employed by Raulerson’s Station, Claxton Fruit Cake, and Claxton Poultry. Calvin enjoyed making others laugh, dancing, playing his harmonica, and spending time with family and friends.

Calvin is survived by his sister, Mary (Elijah) Lewis of Pembroke, GA; brothers, Rosbie (Regina) Mutcherson of Augusta, GA, and Charlie (Vivian) Mutcherson, Sr. of Pembroke, GA; uncle, Thomas “TJ” Mutcherson, Sr. of Pembroke, GA; and a good friend, Pam Meadows of Pembroke, GA; along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 6:00P.M.-7:00P.M. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Pembroke Chapel, 66 Ledford Street Pembroke, GA 31321.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00A.M. at The House Of God Church-Keith Dominion, 89 Byrd Temple Road, Pembroke, GA 31321. Elder Kevin C. Thompson, Eulogist.

Interment will be held at Boyds Temple Cemetery.

Oliver Bill "Sarge" Washington

Mr. Oliver Bill “Sarge” Washington, age 64, peacefully transitioned on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro, Georgia.

A native of Effingham County, Georgia, Oliver was raised in Rochester, New York, and later resided in Chatham County. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard, where he served honorably, including during the war in Kuwait, and later retired with distinction. He was also a dedicated member of American Legion Post 90.

Oliver was a man of faith who joined The Gospel Truth Word of God Holiness Church, Inc. in February 2008 under the leadership of Pastor Pamela Mikell and Elder Anthony Mikell.

He had a deep passion for life and brought joy to those around him through his love of singing, dancing, cooking, and celebrating with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancé, Willie Mae Williams Simmons of Statesboro, GA; his daughter, Monique Washington of Chicago, IL; five grandchildren, Kenya, Neisha, Aliya, Neveyah, and Gregory; and his siblings, Elzina McCullough of Rochester, New York; Shawn D. Washington Rogers (Russel Walker), and Daniel Simmons both of Statesboro, Georgia; and Clara Jamaira Rozix, James Simmons, and JoAnne Simmons, all of Rochester, New York. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 6:00P.M.-7:00P.M. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Statesboro Chapel, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 10:00A.M. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Chapel, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458. Pastor Pamela Mikell, Eulogist.

Interment will be held at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 8819 US Hwy 301 Glenville, GA 30427.

In loving memory of Oliver Bill “Sarge” Washington, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in support of children fighting cancer.
