A Pre-Thanksgiving dessert social took place on Wednesday, featuring an assortment of homemade cakes prepared by friends of Bethany. We would like to express our gratitude to Penny Sikes, Elaine Beasley, Patsy Martin, Brenda Brinson, and Becky Hoover for the beautiful cakes. Most of us had to sample a variety since we just couldn’t choose one. Needless to say, that was just a warm-up for all of the food we will enjoy today! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Our residents had a fabulous time at The Nutcracker performance this weekend. We enjoyed the talented performers, wonderful music, and the fellowship. A special thanks to our two volunteers: Nancy Smith and Connie Murphy as well as our own Kim Brown who came along for support on the trip.

Wow! Another action packed week with lots of Engagement & FUN!!!
Our residents enjoyed a Delicious Lunch Bunch to Mellow Mushroom, entertainment by lots of talented people all week, shopping at Belk, fun fall painting, lots of puppy love from our sweet friends from Statesboro Therapy Dogs Statesboro GA, a game of scrabble that these ladies used all the letters!!!

Friday was our day to recognize, remember, honor, & show support to all the many lives Alzheimer’s and Dementia touch. It is a disease that steals so much from so many. We pray for each individual, their families, & the many caregivers that deal with this disease on a daily basis. Cherishing the Good days and prayers for strength to handle the not so good ones.
We had a beautiful sunshine day to get out and show our support with our annual walk and finished it off with purple Fanta floats for a reward at the end! We also want to thank the Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity for coming out and volunteering with our residents.

Buffet anyone? These residents enjoyed a delicious buffet at Old times this week among lots of other fun activities. They especially loved the soft serve Ice Cream machine. We also enjoyed amazing talent on the piano from Issac Sherrod and Ronald Starling among all our other local volunteers that come weekly to entertain.
We also wanted to give a Giant Shoutout of thanks to Christy from the Statesboro-Bulloch County Library for her faithfulness each month visiting our residents and offering fun crafts and games.
We also are grateful for the Library offering books for our residents to read and return monthly.
We are Blessed!!!
