Our Story

Hey y’all... is it OK if I call you “y’all?” I’m just a small town girl working hard to make my fellow Statesvillians look and FEEL beautiful. As a young female entrepreneur, I am proud to say I bought this business out in 2012 (officially in 2013) when I was 24 years old. BOY has it been hard, but I have learned and grown so much over the years. And my amazing little town has been a HUGE support system. I couldn’t do this without you!

Carolina Tan started with simple, entry level tanning. Which was great... but I didn’t want to stop there. After purchasing another tanning salon in the Terrell, NC area, (and honestly trying to make it work there, but it just wasn’t in the stars) I was able to move higher level beds into Carolina Tan along with a Mystic Spray Tan booth. We also now offer Airbrush (manual) spray tanning, Teeth Whitening, Cocoon Infrared Sauna, and POLY Red Light Therapy. I hope to continue to expand and offer more beauty and spa needs.

The products that you see on the shelf are all products that I have personally used and love. I only want to offer what I would personally use myself and take it extremely seriously. If you are wanting something a little different, you can always ask and we will special order something for you if it is still available. Skin Care is my top priority. We have skin care for tanning and and Red Light Therapy but also for daily skin care at home. Teeth whitening kits, self tanning, moisturizers, and body washes/scrubs are also available, and we proudly offer CBD products that are locally made.

Why should you come to Carolina Tan? Well... do you want to look and feel beautiful? Do you want to get the most up to date information on UV and be sure that your skin is taken care of and that you properly receive the benefits that tanning and all of our services have to offer? Do you support local? Do you support female owned businesses? Do you enjoy seeing a smiling face greet you at the door? Would it feel nice to be offered the very best of the very best just because you deserve it? Did you say yes to any of these? You should just come on over and come on in, even if it’s just for some conversation and some Le Bleu water. We would love to have you!
