Weโ€™re excited to host Special Olympics Iredell County as they make up one of their basketball skills days this Wednesday, February 18, 2026. As a result, the basketball gym will be closed until 1:00pm.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ On February 17, 2026, the Group Fitness Studio and the Gymnasium will be closed until 5p.

We will be replacing the fiber duct work in the gym and exercise room to help us continue providing a comfortable space for everyone.

๐Ÿ€ Good news! Basketball games scheduled for 2/17 will proceed as scheduled.

Annie, one of the smiling faces you'll see here at The Rec, has been a member since moving to Statesville early last year.

After relocating from Charlotte, Annie was looking for a new gym when her mom encouraged her to try Steppinโ€™ Up. And when your mom is the fitness instructor, itโ€™s hard to say no! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Annie quickly fell in love with the class and now joins a Group Fitness Class five times a week. Talk about commitment!

When asked her favorite thing about The Rec, Annie didnโ€™t hesitate: the staff. She says their friendliness and encouragement always lift her spirits, especially on mornings when getting a workout in feels a little tougher.

Fun Fact: Annie is a true morning person, even on her rest days.

Weโ€™re so glad youโ€™re part of The Rec family, Annie!
