This is so important yet our local Boys & Girls Club has lost a devastating amount of funding and even lost the snacks that were provided by the school system and transportation to the program previously provided. The bus still runs- they just won’t drop the kids off at a safe supportive program. Instead, Iredell-Statesville Schools sends them home where they are often alone because their parents are working.

Be a mentor! Support our local Boys and Girls club. Let’s talk to every school board member and get bus service reinstated. Let’s pull resources and get healthier snack options.

Parents need to work and the kids need a safe supportive space.
