Gov. Josh Stein has proclaimed June 1-7 as the NC S.A.F.E. (Secure All Fi****ms Effectively) Week of Action. Established in 2023, the NC SAFE initiative is designed to raise awareness of the importance of safe firearm storage. During the Week of Action, organizations across North Carolina will distribute free gun locks and safe storage materials to residents. Since its inception, NC S.A.F.E. has distributed more than 175,000 gun locks to firearm owners across the state.

🎨 Recovery, creativity, and community come together THIS Thursday!

Don’t miss Art of Recovery: Expressions of Recovery, a powerful screening of The Creative High, a documentary sharing nine journeys through art, addiction, healing, and hope.

After the screening, Samantha Short, Peer Support Specialist and Site Manager from ICGH Statesville, will share her own recovery story and offer encouragement for those in active addiction and beyond.

This is more than a screening. It’s a chance to connect, reflect, and be reminded that healing is possible. 💙

Our Mobile Health Unit will be out in the community throughout June offering select health department services closer to where you are.

• Walk-in labs 🔬
• STI express screening 🧪
• Blood pressure screenings ❤️

• Car seat safety checks 🚗👶
