As we close out National Public Health Week, we want to take a moment to recognize the people who make this work possible every single day. ๐โจ
Public health doesnโt happen without people. Behind every service, every clinic, every call answered, and every community connection is a team that shows up, works hard, and cares deeply about Iredell County.
That work takes shape in so many ways across our organization.
Itโs our leadership guiding the vision, and our finance and operations teams keeping everything running smoothly. โจ
Itโs our clerical staff, who are often the first friendly face or voice you encounter. ๐
Itโs our nurses, medical support staff, and lab team providing care and critical services. ๐ฉบ๐งช
Itโs our WIC staff supporting families and helping children get the healthiest start possible. ๐ผ๐
It's our care management team walking alongside families, supporting high-risk children and pregnancies and helping ensure they have the care, resources, and coordination they need ๐ค๐
Itโs our health promotion team out in the community sharing resources and education, and our Mobile Health Unit team bringing care directly to where people are ๐๐
Finally, itโs our environmental health team working behind the scenes every day to keep our environment safe and healthy ๐๐ฟ
This work is not always easy. It takes coordination, compassion, expertise, and a whole lot of heart. And this team brings all of that and more. โค๏ธ
Weโre proud of the work being done across every program and every role, and weโre grateful for the people who make it happen ๐
Public health is about community. And this is what ours looks like. ๐ค๐
