Yesterday evening, a group of parents, grandparents, community members, educators, and faith leaders came together for a seminar on Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences. This training gives everyday people a common language to understand the long-lasting effects of abuse and neglect in early childhood, and how to work together to build empowered, resilient communities.

The conversations around the room while participants played The Brain Architecture Game were amazing - stories were shared, networks were formed, and plans were made.

If you're interested in how your church, school, parent-teacher organization, or neighborhood can build the capacity to help lead real and lasting change, contact our Prevention Services team at prevention@vcsb.org.
