Bell's palsy is a temporary, sudden-onset facial paralysis caused by swelling of the 7th cranial nerve, often linked to a viral infection. Symptoms include one-sided drooping, drooling, eye irritation, and taste changes. Most people recover within 3-6 months, especially with early treatment.
