Philly Beef and Salami Pizza
A bold and flavorful twist on a classic! Tender grass-fed beef, savory salami, and melty mozzarella come together on a gut-friendly sourdough crust for the ultimate protein-packed, deliciously satisfying pizza.
🍕 Ingredients (Use organic when possible!)
For the Sourdough Pizza Dough:
2 cups organic sourdough starter (active & bubbly)
1 ½ cups organic all-purpose or whole wheat flour
½ tsp Himalayan salt
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
½ cup warm filtered water
For the Toppings:
½ cup organic tomato sauce (no added sugar!)
1 cup organic mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup thinly sliced grass-fed beef (pre-cooked)
¼ cup organic nitrate-free salami, sliced
½ organic red onion, thinly sliced
½ organic bell pepper, thinly sliced
¼ cup organic mushrooms, sliced
Fresh oregano & basil for garnish
1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat!)
🍕 Directions:
1️⃣ Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter, flour, salt, olive oil, and water. Knead until smooth, then let it rest for 2-4 hours at room temperature to rise.
2️⃣ Preheat Your Oven (or Pizza Oven!) to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, heat it up as well!
3️⃣ Roll out the Dough on a floured surface, shaping it into your perfect pizza base.
4️⃣ Add the Sauce & Toppings: Spread a thin layer of organic tomato sauce, sprinkle cheese, and layer on the beef, salami, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms.
5️⃣ Bake: Place your pizza in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes (or until the crust is golden and crispy).
6️⃣ Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle fresh oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes. Slice and enjoy!
