Rehoming this sweet gelding - Luigi.
Luigi is a Lusitano/QH cross (not reg, no we don't know his breeding).
He is 11 years old and around 15.2-15.3hh. He is very mellow, seems to get along with everyone, and seems to be the low man on the rung. He's an easy keeper.
Luigi was purchased as a Juniors lesson horse. He was doing great in his refresher and then after a heat wave had a seizure. The vets advised 30 days off and then if no more seizures, to resume work slowly. He was ridden a few times after without issues but due to the nature of his purpose, his owner felt it was safer to try and find him a home where he could relax with just one owner instead of a full riding program.
He has had x-rays of his neck, spine, front feet and hocks. His hocks are fused, with no pain as they are done fusing. The rest is clear of issues. UTD on teeth and shots. He's had a 5-way metabolic panel run - totally clear... Also, the vet did 2 very extensive bloodwork panels which came back clear. The consensus is that he could never have another seizure again. To be safe - I'm not rehoming him as a riding horse. That will be left up to his new owner.
He will not be shown to anyone under saddle - please don't ask.
Currently barefoot and a little sensitive on rocks.
Loads, baths, ties, stands for farrier, not spooky... kinda a goofy, laid back dude that would make a wonderful companion or whatever anyone wanted to try and do with him.
He doesn't have a lot of formal training.
The rehoming fee is $500.
He is currently in Stayton, OR. Transportation can be arranged. I would like to place him within the next few months. Please feel free to share this ad.
The video was when he was in work before the seizure. I can get current pics for anyone actually interested.
