Last week in Scio, the last stop on the partnership roadshow, Maggie Hudson, MBA, President & CEO, Santiam Hospital & Clinics and Ruth Miles, Director of Government Relations, Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics, met with Service Integration Team members.

Questions and discussion centered on access to care, mental health services, and the importance of continuing programs like Service Integration that support the health and safety of the community. Hearing directly from SIT partners helps ground these conversations in real experiences and community priorities.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. These discussions are an important part of how we share information, listen closely, and shape next steps as this partnership conversation continues.

Recently, Santiam Hospital & Clinics and Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics participated in two State of Healthcare events as part of ongoing community conversations about the current state of health care in our region and the proposed partnership between our organizations.

The events were part of Salem Health’s 4th annual Community Health Impact Event, hosted by the Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics and Salem Health Foundation. Each year, the State of Health Care event brings community leaders together to look at the realities, challenges, and future direction of health care in the Mid-Willamette Valley.

This year’s conversations, led by leaders of both organizations focused on how hospitals and health systems are responding to community access needs, reimbursement challenges, population growth, and long-term sustainability, while also exploring how collaboration can help support the long-term health of our community and the future of care in our region.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event meaningful.
