SOSI is proud to announce our 2025-26 sponsored athlete is Asher Michel, a freestyle skier for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team.

Asher has been a member of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team since the spring of 2023. He is a Grand County native and a former member of the Winter Park Competition Center.

The Winter Park skier is no stranger to SOSI. Asher first came to the SOSI Fraser clinic in 2019 with a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus.

Dr. Adam Wilson performed his knee repairs and had Asher back on the mountain in a matter of months. Asher returned to Dr. Wilson in 2021 for hand surgery.

“I’m thankful for the trust of the entire Michel family. I’ve not only seen Asher, but his sister and mother as well for their injuries,” said Wilson. “Following Asher’s on-mountain accomplishments has been incredibly exciting, and he continues to make our entire practice proud.”

Asher hopes to earn his first World Cup podium this winter and to compete at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympics.

“I feel super excited to be partnering with SOSI,” said Asher. “I definitely wouldn’t be here without them, and I am grateful for everything they’ve done for my family and me. The professionalism and knowledge of their staff are top tier. I know I’ll always have SOSI to fall back on if I ever get injured again.”

Meet Dr. J. Alex Sielatycki, a board-certified and fellowship-trained spine surgeon at SOSI.

He specializes in motion preservation procedures such as cervical disc replacement and lumbar joint replacement. His goal is to help patients stay active and avoid spinal fusions whenever possible.

Dr. Sielatycki is at the forefront of advanced spine surgery, offering procedures that preserve movement and support a quicker recovery.

Last year, he became the first surgeon in the country to perform a spinal disc replacement using the "Prodisc C Nova", a device developed by Centinel Spine, one of the fastest growing companies in the spine industry.

Check out SOSI’s latest spotlight in The Steamboat Pilot, highlighting the cutting‑edge pain‑management work we’re doing here at our clinic!

When it comes to managing pain, surgery doesn’t always have to be the first option.

Dr. Tyson Sloan provides conservative treatments to help patients alleviate pain and symptoms before considering surgery.

While Dr. Sloan offers injections focused on back pain, many other physicians at SOSI offer similar injections to ease pain in other areas of the body, such as the hands, shoulders, and knees.

Since the Clint Devin Memorial Golf Tournament first started in 2023, we've been able to award scholarships to four local high school athletes pursuing college and careers in the medical field.

Our goal is to keep growing that impact, and this event is the key to making it happen.

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Clint Devin Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday! We had an incredible turnout and an amazing show of support for the Clint Devin Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps local high school seniors pursuing careers in the medical field.

Thanks to our golfers and the local businesses that donated items for our silent auction, SOSI was able to raise over $10,000 for the fund.

It was a memorable day on the golf course, and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

As ski areas across our region close for the season, our excitement for bike season is heating up!

This shoulder season, SOSI hosted two bike movie screenings in Steamboat and Winter Park to raise money for local nonprofits ( & ) in the communities we serve.

We have so many people to thank. To the businesses that donated raffle items and the breweries that opened their doors to us... Thank you! We couldn’t have done it without you.

We wish everyone a safe summer. And while we hope injuries never happen, we’re here if they do.
