Welcome to The Bust of Steamboat, established in 2000 for women of Routt and Moffat Counties that raises money to assist local women with breast cancer screenings and awareness. Paint the Town Pink is a celebration and opportunity for local businesses and individuals to raise money for local women fighting Brest cancer. Businesses can help raise money by hosting a fundraiser that donated a percent
age of sales during October - Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Corporate presenting sponsorships and matching mammogram sponsors are a few ways you and your business can be directly involved in the next Bust of Steamboat. How We've Helped:
The Yampa Valley Breast Cancer Awareness Project (YVBCAP) has donated a custom recliner for the chemo room at the Yampa Valley Medical Center, purchased eyeglasses for an uninsured patient, replaced the wheels on a patient wheelchair, purchased wigs, covered travel costs for women who had to go to Denver or Vail for treatment, made a COBRA payment for a women who lost her job during the course of treatment, covered outpatient biopsies and paid for thousands of mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women.
