Funeral services for 93 year old Arlene Holt of Steele, Mo will be held Tuesday September 23, 2025 at 11:00 am at Powell Funeral Home in Steele. A wake will be held at 10:00 am. Arlene Holt passed away on September 19, 2025 at River Oaks Care Center. Rev. Bruce Hollywood will officiate. Burial will be in Mt Zion Cemetery.

Arlene Hollywood Holt was born on January 20, 1932 to Roy Hollywood and Mary Lee Garla Hollywood. She passed away on September 19, 2025 in Steele, Missouri at the age of 93.
She was a hard worker, and loved working in her yard. She enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales, and loved all the beautiful finds she collected.
She was united in marriage 75 years ago to Lyn Holt, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: A.B. Hollywood, Roy Hollywood, and Dolsey Hollywood.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends

Memorial services for 76 year old Lydia Victoria “Vicki” Edington of Rives, Missouri will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Missouri with Rev. John E. Dunavant officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm noon and continue until service time.
Vicki Edington passed away on September 10, 2025 at River Oaks Care Center in Steele.


Lydia Victoria “Vicki” Davis Edington was born on September 1, 1949 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Thomas Elmer Davis and Melba Culp Davis. She passed away on September 10, 2025 in Steele, Missouri at the age of 76.

She was of the Baptist faith and had been employed at Milwaukee Tool Company in Blytheville, Arkansas. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and crafts, shopping at yard sales and flea markets, and target shooting. She also really liked to play bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and:

One great grandson: August Middleton
One brother: Tommy Davis
One sister: Regina Davis Rastall

Services for 81 year old Rozetta Samford of Holland, Missouri will be held Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Missouri with Rev. Gary Andrews officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until service time. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. Rozetta Samford passed away on September 9, 2025 at River Oaks Care Center in Steele.

Rozetta Mills Samford was born on July 29, 1944 in Rector, Arkansas to Carl Mills and Edna McDonald Mills. She passed away on September 9, 2025 in Steele, Missouri at the age of 81.
Rozetta was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Steele. She had been employed at Borg Warner in Blytheville, Arkansas for years.
She was a loving mother, sister, wife and “Granny”.
She was united in marriage to Charles “Dobber” Samford on September 19, 1959 in Steele, Missouri. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and:

Two sisters: Sue Jackson and Sandra Rushing
She is survived by:
One son: Devon Samford and Karen of Holland, Missouri

Services for 87 year old Larry Rorie of Steele, Missouri will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Mr. Kaleb Nelson officiating. Visitation will begin at1:00 pm and continue until service time. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. Mr. Larry Rorie passed away on September 7, 2025 at his residence.

Larry Rorie was born on February 1, 1938 in Mississippi to Leslie Miles Rorie and Velma Burcham Rorie. He passed away on September 7, 2025 in Steele, Missouri at the age of 87.

Larry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed as a truck driver for many years. He loved to play guitar, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and shooting pool. He will also be remembered as a fun person who liked to kid around, tell jokes, and pull pranks.

He was united in marriage to Delores Holcomb Rorie on August 29, 1975 in Pemiscot County, Missouri.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and:

One sister: Betty Lou Bolin

Private services were held for 77 year old Joe H. Mosier of Steele, Missouri, who passed away on September 4, 2025 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Joe Harrell Mosier was born on October 3, 1947 in Bells, Tennessee to Algie Lawson Mosier and Martha Charlzene Glidewell Crocker. He passed away on September 4, 2025 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 77.
Joe had been employed as a custodian at South Pemiscot Schools in Steele. He was a good man who loved to dance, and he loved to keep his vehicles nice and clean.

Pamela Michelle Morse Turner was born on November 29, 1967 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Jessie Morse and Jean Austin Morse. She passed away on August 19, 2025 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 57.
She had been employed as a CNA and had been the manager at Car-Mac’s Shell Station in Holland, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Bobbye Dobbs passed away on August 14, 2025 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.


Bobbye Love Hudson Dobbs was born on July 9, 1936 in Humboldt, Tennessee to Wallace Hudson and Opal Williams Hudson. She passed away on August 14, 2025 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 89.
She was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter, Missouri.
She was united in marriage on October 31, 1971 to Solon Oliver Dobbs, Jr., who preceded her in death on March 14, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and one son-in-law, Tim Alexander.

Adryen Ray-Gene Crawford was born on October 3, 2007 in Kennett, Missouri to Shelby Brooke Pruitt Hall and Matthew Ray Crawford. He passed away on August 10, 2025 in Steele, Missouri at the age of 17.

Services for 75 year old Harold Barnes of the Number Eight community will be held Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Steele Church of Christ, 301 West Main in Steele, Missouri with Mr. John Mundy officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until service time. Burial will be in Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter, Missouri.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Steele Church of Christ, Number Eight Cemetery, or the *BRAVE TYPE Scholarship.

William “Harold” Barnes was born on October 10, 1949 in Blytheville, Arkansas to William Madison Barnes and Wilma Ruth Nance Barnes. He passed away on August 4, 2025 in the Number Eight community in Pemiscot County, Missouri at the age of 75.
He had been employed at Nucor Yamato as a mobile maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Steele Church of Christ. Harold loved his grandchildren. He also enjoyed stock car racing.
He was united in marriage to Anita “Carol” Moore Barnes on June 20, 1969 in Steele, Missouri.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation services for 85 year old Buford Lee “Pete” Brackin of Holland, Missouri will be held Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Missouri. Burial will be at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri following a committal service at 1:00 pm Monday, July 28, 2025. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Buford Lee “Pete” Brackin was born on April 21, 1940 in Yarbro, Arkansas to Herbert Lee Brackin and Bertha Mae Johnson Brackin. He passed away on July 21, 2025in Steele, Missouri at the age of 85.

He served his country in the U.S. Army. He had been employed at Agrico, which became Terra Industries, for many years until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and:
Two brothers: Lloyd Brackin and Curtis Brackin
One sister: Mavis Brackin

He was united in marriage to Sharion McCullough Brackin on February 17, 1989 in Cooter, Missouri.
