Services for newborn Weston Wayne Whittington will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 10:30 am at the Pentecostal Church of God at 119 Smith Street in Steele, Missouri with Rev. Gary Andrews, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, June 5 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, also at the Pentecostal Church of God in Steele. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until service time. Burial will be in Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter, Missouri.

Sue Adkisson Clifton was born on February 10, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas. She passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in Kennett, Missouri at the age of 80.
Sue was a 1963 graduate of Armorel High School in Armorel, Arkansas. She was a member of the Pathway Church of God and enjoyed playing bridge with her Thursday Bridge ladies.
She was united in marriage on May 9,1963 in the Number Eight Community to Carl C. Clifton, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Lee Clifton, and one brother, Charlie Adkisson.

Tracy Ann Finnell was born on October 9, 1973 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Jemmy Finnell and Vicki Jarred Glidewell. She passed away on May 20, 2026 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 52.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, LaDon Glidewell, and one nephew, Michael Inman.

Graveside services for 53 year old Angie Alexander of Southaven, Mississippi, formerly of Cooter, Missouri, will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Number Eight Cemetery in Cooter with Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating. Visitation will be held at Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Missouri beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until time to leave for service.

Angela “Angie” Alexander was born on October 23, 1972 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Timothy “Tim” Alexander and Lynda Orchard Alexander. She passed away on May 19, 2026 in Southaven, Mississippi at the age of 53.
Angie graduated from Cooter High School and then went on to Arkansas State University to earn her Master’s Degree in Education. She was employed as a school teacher, an occupation that she loved. She also loved her students.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tim Alexander.

Memorial services for 68 year old Deryl Lee Murphree Miller of Braggadocio, Missouri will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 11:00 am at Powell Funeral Home in Steele, Missouri with Rev. John Brown officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and continue until service time.

Deryl Lee Murphree Miller was born on April 30, 1957 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Jimmy and Ruby Murphree. She passed away on April 27, 2026 in Kennett, Missouri at the age of 68.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was an excellent grandmother who loved her children and grandchildren very much. She also enjoyed flowers and playing games.

She was united in marriage to Tommy Morris Miller in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Jane Kersey.

Thomas Andrew Bolan, Jr. was born on April 18, 1967 in Springfield, Missouri to Thomas Andrew Bolan, Sr. and Laura Goss Houston. He passed away on April 4, 2026 in Hayti, Missouri at the age of 58.
He had been employed as a farm worker and also did many odd jobs. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching cowboy shows and westerns. He loved his children and grandchildren and really enjoyed aggravating them.
He was united in marriage to Angela Moore Bolan on February 11, 2000 at Kinfolks Ridge, Missouri. She preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings: Katherine Metz, Wesley Wells, Richard Wells, Doris Kay Crittenden, and Joe-Dean Wells.

Tony Daniel passed away on March 24, 2026 at his residence in Byrnes Mill.

Anthony Murrell “Tony” Daniel was born on March 24, 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee to Jimmy Murrell Daniel and Linda King Daniel. He passed away on March 24, 2026 in Byrnes Mill, Missouri at the age of 59.
He had been employed as a truck driver and in lawn care.
He was united in marriage to Judy Crawford Daniel on February 19, 1992 in Blytheville, Arkansas.

Ruth Ann Lawrence was born on September 8, 1946 in Tuckerman, Arkansas to William Rogers and Maude Hartwick Rogers. She passed away on March 21, 2026 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 79.
She had been employed as a hairdresser. She had also worked as a secretary and had been employed at the office of the Mississippi County Clerk in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Ruth Ann had attended Tyler Baptist Church and had been a member of the Steele Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed music, gardening and working in her yard, and was a wonderful cook. She always put others before herself, and did all she could for everyone. Being a mother and grandmother was what she loved most of all.
She was united in marriage to Robert F. “Bobby” Lawrence, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and:

Graveside services for 86 year old Nedra Little of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of Steele, will be held Friday, February 20, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Rev. Donnie Riley officiating. Nedra Little passed away on February 18, 2026 at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

Nedra Lanell Little, age 86, of Benton, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, at The Chateau in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Born on September 12, 1939, Nedra was the daughter of Clarence “Dutch” Barley and Nannie Kate Jones Barley, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lowell Keith Little Sr.; three sisters, Bobbie Lair, Christen Taylor, and Joyce Poley; and two brothers, Jackie Barley and Reginald Barley.
Nedra earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Education from Southeast Missouri State and devoted her professional life to serving others. She retired from Sikeston Public Schools, where she faithfully served as a high school guidance counselor. Through her work, she impacted countless students, offering wisdom, encouragement, and steady support that shaped many young lives.
Above all, Nedra cherished her family. She is survived by her three children: Karen and John Malone of Du Quoin, Illinois; Keith Little Jr. of Plano, Texas; and Kriste and Barry Martin of Jackson, Missouri.
She was a proud Grandmother to Allison and Matt Loveland; Nick and Katie Malone; Jake and ReVay Schlitt; Ashton Schlitt; and Nathan and Danna Martin.
Great Grandchildren include Luke Loveland, Leo Loveland, Elliana Malone, Wesley Malone, Hayden Schlitt, Parker Schlitt, Daphne Schlitt, Landry Martin, Cam Martin, and Sutton Martin.
She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as friends.
Nedra will be remembered for her vibrant spirit and love of education. Her life was marked by unwavering dedication to those she loved.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 20, 2026. Family and friends are invited.
