Valley Medical Transport is proud to introduce the newest addition to our fleet. This new Type I ambulance is a Demers MXP 170 built on a Ford F450 four by four chassis and fully equipped to support advanced patient care.
Outfitted with a Stryker Power Load and stretcher, Zoll X Series cardiac monitor, two Sapphire IV pumps, and a Zoll mechanical ventilator, this ambulance reflects our continued investment in safety, reliability, and modern technology.
At VMT, our focus is always on ensuring patients receive the care they need from the moment we arrive.

Recently, our team had the privilege of receiving a patient whose transport crew from Valley Medical Transport demonstrated exceptional compassion and professionalism from the moment they arrived.

They showed genuine empathy toward both the patient and their loved one, creating a calm and reassuring presence during what can be a very emotional transition. In addition to their kindness, they ensured a seamless continuity of care by providing a thorough written report — including relevant history, hospital vitals, transport vitals, medications administered, and dosages given prior to arrival. That level of detail and preparation makes a meaningful difference in the care we are able to provide.

Before leaving, they took the time to connect with our Inpatient Team, ensuring all questions were answered and everyone felt supported. Their thoughtfulness, clinical diligence, and patient-centered approach did not go unnoticed.

When patients are non‑ambulatory or bed‑confined, getting safely to and from care shouldn’t be a barrier. Our Non‑Emergent Medical Transport (NEMT) Stretcher Van is purpose‑built to provide safe, dignified, and dependable transportation for patients who cannot sit upright or transfer independently.

Our stretcher van is equipped to transport patients who require a lying‑down position during transport, making it ideal for:
• Dialysis appointments
• Physician and specialty visits
• Hospital discharge to home or facility
• Follow‑up and ongoing medical care
Medicaid‑Covered Transportation
Virginia Medicaid covers these transports with prior authorization, making this service an accessible and cost‑effective option for eligible patients.
