Victory and congratulatory post for one of our patients!!!
One of our 60 year old patients severed his quadriceps while trimming a tree branch/ hedge with a circular chain saw. Yikes!
He completely cut the muscle on 04/30/2024. He had surgery on his knee on the same day. He was immobilized till 06/26/2024 ( no bending) and that was the day he started PT at our clinic. His Quadriceps muscle was emaciated, knee joint was swollen and there was very little movement in the left knee.
Next week( 8/28/24)he will be discharged!!! As of today, he has full ROM in the left knee, almost full strength in the quadriceps. He is back to work!!! His work requires a lot of kneeling/ physical work. Such a hardworking patient who kept us on our toes!!! Every time new challenges/ exercises were given to him, he would work extremely hard at the clinic and home to achieve those and how!!! Every session new exercises/ stretches were added and Voila!!! He is ready to conquer the world!!!
