Straith Hospital is proud to introduce our very own Interventional Pain Center lead by Dr. Michael Drelles. Dr. Drelles offers patients with chronic pain a chance to improve their quality of life by relieving painful symptoms through a multi-modal approach to the treatment of pain. With more than a decade of experience in pain management, Michael Drelles, D.O. joins Straith Hospital to provide the
community with compassionate and effective treatment of chronic pain. Dr. Drelles earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He then earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University – College of Osteopathic Medicine. He then returned to Ann Arbor to complete his residency in Anesthesiology at The University of Michigan Department of Anesthesiology. His training was then completed at the nationally renowned University of California Davis Pain Management Center in Sacramento California. Dr. Drelles has more than 10 years of experience treating a wide variety of painful conditions. Dr. Drelles serves as an expert witness and consultant for The Investigations & Inspections Division of the Bureau of Professional Licensing for the State of Michigan. Dr. Drelles also carries an academic appointment with the Wayne State University School of Medicine through the Department of Anesthesiology as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
