Aortic Valve Stenosis occurs when the aortic valve becomes narrowed and stiff, making it harder for the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body.

As the valve opening tightens, the heart must work harder—eventually leading to symptoms such as:
• Chest pain
• Shortness of breath
• Fatigue
• Dizziness or fainting

Early diagnosis allows for monitoring and timely treatment before serious complications develop.

Your heart deserves expert care.

How pacemakers protect your heartbeat

A pacemaker is a small, life-saving device that helps regulate the heart’s rhythm when it beats too slowly, irregularly, or pauses unexpectedly. When the heart’s natural electrical system fails to send signals properly, a pacemaker steps in—delivering gentle electrical impulses to keep the heart beating at a safe, steady rate.

By restoring rhythm and coordination, pacemakers improve blood flow, reduce symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, or fainting, and help prevent serious complications. For many patients, a pacemaker means renewed energy, improved quality of life, and long-term heart protection.

Modern pacemakers are highly advanced, discreet, and tailored to each patient’s needs—working silently, beat after beat, to support a healthy heart.

Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in women, and heart attacks don’t always look the same as they do in men. Knowing the causes can help save lives.

Common causes and risk factors for heart attack in women include:
• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol
• Diabetes
• Smoking or va**ng
• Obesity and physical inactivity
• Chronic stress, anxiety, and depression
• Hormonal changes (pregnancy complications, menopause)
• Family history of heart disease
• Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions

Women may experience subtle symptoms such as fatigue, shortness of breath, nausea, jaw or back pain—don’t ignore them.

💗 Early detection and prevention matter. Regular checkups, heart-healthy habits, and timely care can make all the difference.

Plaque formation inside blood vessels begins quietly—often years before symptoms appear.

When the inner lining of an artery becomes irritated, cholesterol can start to collect along the vessel wall. Common contributors include:
• High cholesterol
• Smoking
• High blood pressure
• Diabetes
• Inflammation

Over time, this buildup narrows the artery, reducing blood flow and increasing the risk of heart attack or stroke.

Early prevention and regular heart checkups can make a life-saving difference.

What is Congestive Heart Failure?

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) does not mean the heart has stopped working. It means the heart is not pumping blood as effectively as it should to meet the body’s needs.

When this happens, blood and fluid can back up into the lungs, legs, ankles, or abdomen—leading to symptoms that should never be ignored.

Common Symptoms of CHF

• Shortness of breath (especially with activity or when lying flat)

• Swelling in the legs, ankles, feet, or abdomen

• Fatigue or weakness

• Rapid weight gain from fluid retention

• Persistent cough or wheezing

• Difficulty exercising or performing daily activities

Why CHF Happens

CHF can develop due to:

• Coronary artery disease

• High blood pressure

• Previous heart attack

• Heart valve disease

• Cardiomyopathy (weakened heart muscle)

• Diabetes or other chronic conditions

How CHF Is Managed

While CHF is a chronic condition, it can be successfully managed with the right care plan:

✔ Medications to reduce fluid and support heart function

✔ Lifestyle changes (low-sodium diet, activity guidance)

✔ Regular monitoring and follow-up

✔ Advanced cardiac testing when needed

Early diagnosis and proper treatment can significantly improve quality of life and long-term outcomes.

When to Seek Care

If you notice worsening shortness of breath, rapid weight gain, increasing swelling, or chest discomfort, contact your cardiology team promptly.

How cholesterol builds up in the arteries

Cholesterol is a waxy, fat-like substance that your body needs in small amounts. But when there’s too much “bad” cholesterol (LDL) in the blood, it can slowly settle into the inner lining of your arteries.

Over time, LDL cholesterol penetrates the artery wall and becomes oxidized. This triggers inflammation, attracting immune cells that ingest the cholesterol and turn into “foam cells.” These foam cells accumulate, forming fatty streaks—the earliest stage of plaque.

As plaque grows, the artery narrows and stiffens, reducing blood flow to vital organs like the heart. The plaque’s surface can become fragile and rupture, causing a blood clot to form. This sudden blockage can lead to a heart attack or stroke.

Cholesterol buildup is silent—but its consequences can be life-threatening. Early screening, lifestyle changes, and proper treatment can slow or reverse this process and protect your heart.
