So excited to have Rooted2Wellness join our building!

✨ We did it – 500 friends in this circle! ✨

A few weeks ago I shared that I was just 20 people away from 500, and thanks to YOU, I’ve now reached that milestone. 🎉 To celebrate, I’ll be doing a special giveaway drawing (details coming Sunday night – so stay tuned 👀).

Since there are some new faces here, I’d love to take a moment to re-introduce myself and share a little of my story:

🌿 By day, I’m a full-time Respiratory Therapist with 24 years of experience.
🌿 Academically, I hold two master’s degrees – one in Holistic Nutrition and one in Health Administration with a concentration in Functional Nutrition. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Alternative Medicine, and I’m a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor currently training as a BreathWorks Facilitator.
🌿 In February 2024, I founded Rooted2Wellness, LLC – my passion project turned growing business.

Today, Rooted2Wellness is stocked in three locations:

🌸 Emerald Beauty Bar (Amboy, IL) – where I have my own room

🌞 Beach Club Tanning & More (Mendota, IL) – with a shelf & fridge setup

🌿 Rooted Wellness Center (Sterling, IL) – with a newly added fridge & shelf

Beyond the credentials and business, here’s a little about me:
💙 I’m a proud mom of three – one son who just got his own place, a daughter starting her first year at NIU, and my youngest, a high school senior.
🐾 I share my home in the country with three doodles (two goldendoodles + one husky-poo).
🌱 My heart is in herbal remedies, aromatherapy, holistic wellness, and helping people get to the root of their health concerns.

I’m so grateful you’re here – cheering me on, supporting local, and helping me grow. 💚

Back to school season means new growth and BIG feelings.
Don't forget that kids are not born knowing how to process their emotions. Just like learning concepts like letter sounds and subtraction, they learn regulation and communication from observation, compassion from a safe adult, and practice. This includes LOTS of trial and error.

If you are able, try providing your child the opportunity to co-regulate alongside you. Practicing regulation and communication strategies early and often provide your kids with the tools they will need in the moment of dysregulation.
