This time of year, I am often asked for holiday gift recommendations to help build language skills.

The truth is, the BEST gift you can give to your child to build their language is 🥁🥁🥁......

your time and attention!

I know, that doesn't really answer the question, but it's true. ANY toy or object can be used to help build language skills as long as you are interacting with your child and providing language input!

That being said, whether thrifted, self-made, or purchased new, here are some toys/gifts and some ways you can use them to help build language skills!

We were so incredibly blessed to be able to snag some amazing sensory items from Build-A-Pet Clubhouse to add the therapy space! While we are incredibly sad to see their playspace come to an end, we are so grateful for the opportunity to rehome this giant (handmade) light board and a strong base for a sensory swing (coming soon).

Today I think I spent a total of about 6 hours designing patterns and making connections with emerging communicators and sensory explorers. 🥰🥰🥰
