Honoring our heroes at Morningside of Sterling on Veterans Day. 🇺🇸

We started the morning with a waffle bar, welcomed a meaningful 21-gun salute from the American Legion, and received beautifully personalized certificates from Seth Wiggins recognizing each veteran’s service.

Thank you to Sami Wiggins from Castor for adding a cozy touch with a cider bar.

We are forever grateful for our veterans. ❤️🤍💙

We had a heartfelt surprise reunion here at Morningside on Friday. Mike, who was a former band teacher in Batavia, IL, and a resident in our community, was surprised by his former band students. Mike had no idea that our musical entertainment for the day, the group Brass Act, were his former band students. They were all dressed in their Band shirts to honor their mentor. It was an emotional and heartwarming moment when he realized who they were. Mike even joined in conducting the performance! 😭❤️🎷
