Jumping forward and back from a seat is super tough, but if you have a progression to work on, you can have something to practice every day towards it:
Step to Seat
Step your feet forward behind your heads, cross shins, and sit down. To go back, place hands in front of your feet, and step back.
Jump to Seat
Jump feet to crossed position behind hands, and sit down. To go back, place hands in front of your feet, and jump off your crossed legs back.
Jump and Scoot
Jump to crossed feet behind hands, but scoot your feet forward past your hands before you sit down. To go back, place your hands down behind your feet, cross shins and scoot feet back until behind hands, then jump back.
Jump Through
Once you’ve built enough strength to keep your feet off the floor, jump your feet forward past your hands! To go back, place hands behind feet lift everything off of the floor, and jump your feet back.
