If your shoulders feel unstable, tight, or like they just don’t know where to sit… this is for you 🤍
Using a long foam roller against the wall, I’m working on guiding my arms through a controlled path—about an arm’s distance away—to help retrain healthy shoulder mechanics.
This isn’t just about “good posture.”
This is about teaching your body where your shoulder blade actually belongs.
For my hypermobile people especially:
We often have more range than we need… but not always the control to support it.
This drill helps:
✨ Encourage proper scapular movement (upward rotation + gentle retraction)
✨ Wake up the serratus anterior (aka your shoulder stabilizer bestie)
✨ Improve shoulder stacking without forcing or gripping
✨ Reduce that pinchy, crunchy, unstable feeling
✨ Build strength in a way that actually feels safe
Think of it less like forcing your shoulders “back and down”
and more like teaching them to move well and feel supported through space
Slow. Controlled. Intentional.
Your joints don’t need more stretch—
they need better communication + support 🧠✨
Save this if your shoulders need some love🤍
