The Foundation & Concept

Like everything that grows, we have roots. The roots of Loudoun Counseling & Coaching date back to October 2015. Founders Alonda Alloway and Troy Hysmith were working on their respective business ideas when the concept began to crytalize. Troy was working on his non-profit, Bridging the Wealth Gap Inc., which helps descendents of low-income and low-asset families build wealth. Alonda was mapping out a business plan to create a center for mental health with elements of stress reducing physical activities like yoga. The conversation shifted when Alonda said it would be cool to have one business that would combine the respective businesses they were working on separately because they are all interconnected when you think about it holistically. Mental health impacts physical health and vice versa. With these elements impacted, financial well-being is often influenced as the person’s mental and/or physical health impairments may be in danger of compromising employment status or making illogical decisions with spending habits. It was then that the idea for Loudoun Counseling & Coaching, LLC was born. We opened our doors in September 2017, almost two years to the date of that initial business concept conversation.
