Sterling Medical Center, a family-focused practice located in Sterling, KS is proud to provide quality healthcare to patients of all ages. Dr. James Decker, Dr. Kristina Darnauer, and Dr. Stacy Dashiell practice full-scope family medicine which includes pediatrics, obstetrics, urgent care and chronic disease management. They provide inpatient services, emergency care and perform deliveries at Rice County District Hospital in Lyons, KS. Certified nurse midwife, Melissa Conard, APRN and Alisha Koch, APRN also provide care to patients of all ages. Call 620-278-2123 to schedule an appointment. Open Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Closed holidays.

This holiday season, the Community Health Care Workers in Rice County are accepting donations of gently used medical equipment to support individuals in our community.

It is , so we want to brag a little on our Nurse Practitioners at Sterling Family Care.

If you come to SFC, there is a good chance you will see Melissa Conard or Alisha Koch. They take care of everything from routine checkups and sick visits to helping patients manage things like diabetes and high blood pressure. They order labs, talk through results, answer questions, and help you figure out what needs to happen next.

Melissa and Alisha, thank you for taking such good care of our patients and for the calm, steady presence you bring to the clinic every day!

This Veterans Day, we’re proud to recognize our own Dr. James Decker, who served as a Major in the United States Army from 1987 to 1998.

During his 11 years of service, Dr. Decker was stationed at several notable posts, including Fort Riley (KS), Fort Eisenhower (GA), Joint Base Lewis–McChord (WA), Fort Knox (KY), and Fort Lewis (WA).

We’re grateful not only for his service to our country but also for the care and compassion he continues to bring to our patients here at Sterling Family Care.

As your local primary care team, we’re proud to share that mammography services are coming soon to Rice Community Hospital. That means our patients will soon have convenient, close-to-home access to mammograms, right within the Rice Community Health network.

We’ll share more details soon about how to schedule once the service begins, but for now, this , we encourage you to talk with your provider about your screening plan.
