We're celebrating our March employee of the month, Mr. Alpha Sesay! If team player had a face, it would absolutely be Alpha’s. This month, Alpha earned the spotlight for saying “yes” more times than we can count. Alpha is well known for for stepping into any role, shifting his schedule on a dime, and doing it all with the kind of calm that makes us wonder if he's unlocked a superpower.

Janet says hola from the kitchen here at The Ridge at Sterling! She served up some gourmet comfort food of a perfectly golden, crispy pork schnitzel topped with a mushroom cream sauce, buttery noodles, and green beans.

It's the kind of meal that feels like a warm hug, plated with pride and a whole lot of heart. We don't just dine, we experience chef-crafted meals made with love (and a little flair!).

Last week we had the joy of celebrating the incredible caregivers who support our community every day. In honor of National Caregivers Day, residents showed their appreciation by creating heartfelt cards and picking flowers to give to our amazing caregiving team.💙

The celebration continued with a fun game of corn hole, plenty of laughter, and delicious catered food. It was a wonderful time to slow down, connect, and recognize the kindness, patience, and dedication our caregivers bring to the lives of our residents each day.

We are so grateful for the compassion and heart they pour into our community. Thank you for everything you do! ✨

Introducing Chef Joshua Manny, the Director of Culinary Services at The Ridge at Sterling. He once spent days curing A5 Wagyu beef and now brings that same level of care, creativity, and calm leadership to our community. His approach blends artistry, humor, and a genuine commitment to creating memorable dining experiences for residents. 🌟

We asked him a few questions about his time in the kitchen, and he had a lot to say! He believes that yelling has no place in the kitchen, and he aspires to make our community seasonal soups made with fresh, local ingredients.

He was asked about the most unusual request he’s received in the kitchen, and someone once asked him for a hamburger with each ingredient served on its own plate! His signature dish inspired by our community is a savory French beef stew known as pot-au-feu.

His culinary superpower is patience, and he’d like to share with everyone to cure your meats before cooking to really elevate the meal! When asked what senior living activity would best describe his cooking style, Joshua enthusiastically said painting as he had always hoped to be an artist. Well he’s definitely an artist in the kitchen! 🎨

Finally, Joshua admitted that his favorite junk food is definitely Easy Mac!

He has an impressive background including several Michelin-rated restaurants and culinary leadership positions. We are incredibly grateful and extremely lucky to have him at our community! ✨

When comfort food meets chef-level artistry, magic happens! Tonight's beautifully plated creation was an apricot-glazed pork loin with tender asparagus, creamy scalloped potatoes, and crispy apple for the perfect fresh finish. 😋

Sweet, savory and absolutely stunning on the plate , because our residents deserve dining that looks as good as it tastes! We're so lucky to have a chef and team who pour this much care and creativity into every meal. Here at the Ridge at Sterling, dining isn't just food, it's an experience. 🌟
