📚🧜‍♂️ Today we had a legendary visit during storytime! A special guest read the tale of Chessie the Sea Monster, and the kids dove right in with a fun sea monster craft! 🌊🎨

We ended with a vote… Is Chessie real or not?

🦜⚓️ Today we set sail on a high seas adventure! Our little pirates learned all about the infamous Captain Blackbeard and pirating in the Chesapeake Bay. From treasure maps to a pirate concert to digging for gold, the kids dove into the day with imagination and excitement. 🏴‍☠️💰🌊

Today we explored how Native Americans harvested oysters around the Chesapeake Bay! We discovered how oysters were used not just for food, but also as tools and even as items for trade. Some of us were brave enough to try a taste, too!
