For Autism Awareness Month, let’s come together to learn how we can better protect our children. 🌊💦

Join us as Elise Thomson and Ruthie Thomson of AQUA Swimming And Training share essential water safety knowledge and drowning prevention strategies. They are certified American Red Cross Water Safety experts and will provide practical tips to help keep your child safe in and around water.

🧡💚 At Kinera Foundation, something truly special came to life—one brushstroke, one word, and one voice at a time.
Our incredible kids worked together to transform a simple cardboard house into a vibrant masterpiece. This project wasn’t just about art—it was about communication and teamwork. Through painting, our kids explored language, practiced using their AAC devices, and expressed their creativity.
Moments like these remind us that communication goes far beyond words—it’s about giving every child the tools and opportunities to be heard, understood, and celebrated.
A huge shoutout to Cathy Kusmin, one of our amazing speech language pathologists, whose dedication shines through in everything she does. Her commitment to creating meaningful language opportunities—through AAC support and a deep understanding of Gestalt language processing—helps our kids thrive in ways that are both powerful and joyful! 💚🧡

She just received the amazing news that she’s been awarded the Presidential Scholarship to Notre Dame of Maryland — a FULL tuition scholarship 🙌🏻🧡💚🫶🏻

As if that wasn’t enough, she’s also earned a spot on the soccer team!

What you’re seeing here is so much more than “balance work” and jumping.

After an ankle sprain — especially in kids — it’s not just about pain going away. Once you sprain an ankle, you’re actually more likely to sprain it again if strength and stability aren’t fully restored.

That’s why in pediatric physical therapy we focus on:
🧡Single-leg stability
💚Balance and proprioception (body awareness)
🧡Safe jumping and landing mechanics
💚Strengthening all the muscles around the foot and ankle to support the ligaments
Our goal isn’t just recovery — it’s preventing future sprains and long-term instability so kids can run, jump, and play confidently 💪
