👋 Hi, I’m Jordyn: Speech-Language Pathologist, Feeding Specialist, and Mom of two. My team and I aim to educate parents on how to support their baby & toddler’s speech, feeding, and motor development at home!

🥹 Baby shoes are so cute. I mean, Nikes on a 9 month old- adorable! But, shoes can really get in the way of baby learning to walk, so it’s best to keep them barefoot before they start walking. The foot directly on the floor helps strengthen baby’s ankles and feet (you usually see them swaying when standing and holding on to something- that’s them getting more stable!)

Once baby starts to walk, picking a flexible sole shoe with a wide toe base is best so those toes can stay wide and baby’s foot can flex when they walk!

👏🏻 The Physical Therapist on our team put together a list of favorite shoes for new walkers, toddlers, and preschoolers. And yep- Winter Boots are on our Free Shoes Guide, too!

🍎The EPS Registered Dietitian, Kim, helped me with this one. With Halloween right around the corner, it’s time to start thinking about candy! No matter what you decide to do in regards to Halloween candy at your house, it’s important to know which candies pose a choking risk for littles. So save this list and send it to family and friends!

Books really help make it easier for little ones to understand what’s coming. We rounded up all of our favorites for these big changes so you can have an easier time with transitions at home!

You don’t need to wait to introduce the top 9 allergens- when baby starts solids, they are ready to start eating top allergen foods!

⏰ It is recommended to introduce each of the top 9 allergens one at a time though, so make sure to wait a few days between each one. But you don’t need to wait several days between non-allergen foods. Those can be introduced daily.

We want to make sure you feel confident offering your baby their first foods, especially allergens! So download this Freebie and feel good about feeding your baby!

“You don’t deserve your own verbal abuse.”

A sentence that we all need to read.

I don’t have many regrets in this life, but I do regret how I treated myself as a first time mom. And how I robbed myself of some of the joys of motherhood day in and day out because of how I treated myself.

Sometimes we don’t realize the impact our own words have, but they are the words that are closest to us. They are the loudest. They are the ones we believe to be true.

You do not have to lie to yourself, but please try to be gentle. And remember to give yourself grace. 🩷
